The gas tank as we know is a large exposed area. Mine seems to take a particular beating on rocky trails, along with they trailing arm armor*. I have the JCR gas tank armor on my Wildtrak. It’s not going to hold up to another hammering-out after the next few offroad trips; the brackets will crack and need welding. Meanwhile the center buckles and touches the gas tank.
Maybe I weld it up next time and adhere some foam between it and the gas tank. Otherwise, has anyone put their gas tank armor through the paces and are satisfied with it holding up?
*as an aside the trailing arm armor is also JCR; fasteners to frame didn’t hold up so they are welded on now.
