I was curious what brand of Full Synthetic 5W30 brand people are using and if Full Synthetic should be used or it would be best to use the Motorcraft Synthetic 5W30.

Everything I have owned for basically the last decade has run on Mobil 1 synthetic, EXCEPT my diesels. Those all run on Rotella T6 full synthetic.

Had a few guys on the Ram forums telling me that Mobil 1 doesn't meet the Chrysler spec for engine oil on the 6.4 Hemi...But I didn't have an issue with lifters wiping out my cam, so I'll go ahead and say that it seemed to do just fine.

You can use the motorcraft synthetic blend or any full synthetic that meets the specifications. Just make sure you change it early or on time which is the more important thing.
That was my plan, doing it at 1,000 miles which is coming up quick and then every 5,000 after that.

I would say that would probably be why you didn't have lifter issues by using different oil then the factory one.

I like Mobil 1 " Truck and Suv" version of their full syn. It meets or exceeds several specs that some of the Amsoil and other Mobil 1 versions do not. It is a great Ford spec oil as well as Dexos. Since we have several makes of engines on our place most of our gas engines get Truck and SUV.

But most likely any and every API SN rated oil will be excellent for a Bronco.
