You’re sure that’s thin/missing paint? Have you run your finger nail over it (like you would on a scratch)? Curious if it might just be a thin layer or dirt or something that will possibly wipe off. I’ve had lines similar to that and it was just dirt as it’s a difficult area to wash.
Just for peace of mind… I’ve gotten it like actually detailed twice. You don’t think that’s something they could have done or use those kind of tools, do you? Or is that more of something a paintshop/body work/dealership would have had to do?

My first thought was a rotary polisher burned through, which could have been done by a detailer or after pre-delivery paint repair.

Personally, I would probably just live with it because it's likely unnoticeable to the naked eye the way it runs along the body line. Maybe switch detailers, though.

If the detailers used a buffer, they would be the most likely cause of your paint issue.

I don’t know why I clicked on this post but alas I did. The pictures are confusing, is it a sport or full size Bronco. Makes a difference, if it is full size and this is your concern your likely not ever taking it off road. If it is a sport and this bothers you then you have it fixed as you are likely to end up with way less scratches from the trail covering it up. If it doesn’t bother you leave it but find a better detailer.

Does that fold in the image look like any panel you have on your Bronco? I looked at mine and couldn’t match it up which is why I asked.

I just noticed she answered your question on that post. Yes it does look like something on my Bronc, I would say it looks like it the the under grille valance. I see the OP has an OBX which would mean it has painted flares and it looks on the right side of the pic is a painted flare. And it looks like the black piece in the pic is the grille.

I was hoping it wouldn’t be that paying for a $250 detail and maybe not them using the necessary tools to do it. But I agree, it is unnoticeable to the naked eye as I noticed doing a touch up rock chip fender repair so who knows how long it has been there… and probably not worth trying to blame on this or that nor trying to touch up myself which would be so much more noticeable. 🫠

Yes! That is the correct area/body part, but mine is painted due to being an OBX. It really is faint and unnoticeable to naked eye and couldn’t tell you if it was like that off the lot brand new or the 2 times it has got a nice $250 extensive detail which makes me 😵💫🫠. I only noticed because I had a minor rock chip on the front fender I was touching up and saw. Now I question everything. 🥹

Full size! I feel like every road in Corpus Christi, Texas at this point should be considered off road, but I definitely agree with your view. And yes, on the detailer as well. I’d like to think it wasn’t them as we have had them detail it twice already since purchase in June, but ypu never know. Especially for $250 each time. 😵💫🫠🥹😂 I do appreciate your input and helps ease my overthinking mind. 🤪
