My 22 Badlands Lux (9k miles) also has this front camera problem. I took it into Ford once already, but that did not solve the issue. I have scheduled for this to be checked again this week. Did @Ford Motor Company determine a common root cause besides a hardware module replacement?

After being told the camera has been on back order I was asked to bring it in again this week. They had a camera delivered the next day and installed it. Now I am told they need to replace the coaxial cable. I would suggest that when you bring it in to have them check the cable as well. I wonder if that was the issue all along? Kind of makes sense that it started to go out intermittently. Just hope it gets resolved this time. This is my second front camera replacement in under 3 years.

I'm having the same issues, front camera just doesn't work at all anymore.
Has anyone tried replacing it themselves, or is there calibration that needs to happen when replaced? I see the camera is only $55

I need the same answer. Relatively easy to remove the grill and access the camera. If no calibration is needed I’ll buy one and try it.

Also is there a new model number? I would hate to replace it with one that becomes a dud again in a year lol

Update:
Last week I went to the dealer again, and they were able to replace the camera and reset some type of system firmware, and everything is currently working. They did not replace the coaxial cable to the front camera.

Mine was working fine this afternoon and just went black like pictured in previous post. I see that there is recall on the rear camera doing this. This is annoying. I had planned on a winch and a camera relocation bracket, but whats the use if these cameras are going to have issues. A previous post mentioned extended warranties. Any recommendations for good warranty companies?

I have a 2022 Badlands and the front camera is not working. I'm getting the same black void on the camera. I had one of the forum members look it up and it's showing a code 31 no signal. The dealership is telling me it's a 3 - 5 day trouble shooting process.

Cool I get to join the club.
Can anyone tell me what this reprogramming entails? Is this something I can do with forscan?
I ordered a replacement camera off ebay with the hopes of avoiding the dealership.

I still haven't heard of what the reprogramming entails either, but I would be curious to hear a follow up from you if it ends up just being plug and play

I had them replace mine a couple weeks ago and it worked without needing to be programmed. Tech ran the program took about 5 minutes. That cleared out the former codes. Worked flawlessly ever since. Good luck!

How's the camera working for you at this point in time?
I've had the same problem since it was new, it just intermittently cuts out and comes back for no apparent reason. Traced the cable back looking for any loose connections, checked the cam, etc. I've been using the highly advanced technique of banging on the camera until it starts working again as a solution, but it's a temporary reprieve. I'd say it works about 80-90% of the time.

I'm hesitant to bring it in for a warranty fix as I installed a module that allows me to use the cameras at whatever speed I want, it was acting up for a year prior to this already but I'm sure the dealership is going to say that's the cause. It's a pretty involved installation, so if I could just replace a faulty camera on my own that would fix the issue, I wouldn't mind footing the bill.
What module did you install to get the cameras to operate at any speed?

The camera does NOT need to be programed. It's plug and play.
