I'm not sure if it's still the case, but in my previous experience with ForScan with my F150, all of the modifiable options do not show up in the human readable tab and must be done through modifying the hex values. Also, there were some things that modifying the human readable method did not affect the desired change - had to modify the hex values.

So, I always perform modifications to the as-built hex values because that's what I'm used to and know it works.

How is searching for a numeric line and editing hex codes more user friendly than typing in the name of the option in the filter box and selecting "enabled/disabled" from a pulldown menu?
I admit I don't spend my time going through each iteration of FS to compare what is in the "user friendly" menus vs what is only available in the "editing hex codes" menus but, unless something has drastically changed AND nobody here was made aware of that (unlikely), there are options that are only available in "edit hex" and not available via "user friendly". So when one chooses to only work with the "user friendly" menus there will only be a subset of available options to change; only they would know whether those available options cover each item they wish to change.

It's your call, do it however you like. I deal with hex all day long so it's no biggie to me but I can understand how some people are intimidated by it and may not wish to deal with it. It's nice we have options.

All, I'm trying to shut off the key in vehicle/door chime but I cannot seem to find it, hex or otherwise. I have a 24 HE and have done Bambi, Double Honk, etc. but the door chime has me stumped.

If anyone added GOAT modes, did you notice it throws DTCs for ABS and steering? I assume you just clear them?

Both the door chime and key in ignition chime are listed in the spreadsheet.

Nope, added Rock Crawl and Baja to my HE with no issues.

Try to update to the latest version. Or you may need to email forscan for the most recent beta.

I have the latest version for the 24 model year but I do recall someone else saying in one of the posts here that the IPC module is hidden as well.

The latest version is 2.3.60
I’m not sure where it would be hidden. All modules are listed in the same place

No problem. If that still doesn’t work, reach out to forscan like I mentioned. They usually have even newer beta versions that aren’t posted on their website which may help.

Thanks, I downloaded the new version, found IPC but had to do the HEX which is fine.

My accomplished list for Forscan (along with Ford's stick one finger in you ear while sticking your tongue out and turning off-and-on garbage for the seat belt chime):

Forscan Changes
  • Goat Modes
    • Add Rock Crawl
    • Add Baja
  • TPM from 35 to 30
  • Bambi Mode (Fogs W/High Beams)
  • Keyfob Panic Button To Double Click
  • Key In Vehicle Chime
  • Door Ajar Chime

While searching through Forscan I found the following:

Oil Pressure Gage Disabled
Oil Pressure Disabled

Does anyone know if these show up on the dash gauges if enabled?

Probably a silly question, but what triggers the key in vehicle chime? It’s different than the double-honk correct?
