Does anyone that is experiencing this issue have FORScan? Is so, plug your truck in and go to line 754-10-01 in the TCU. If you anything on that line other than "5553 14" then that is the problem.

Or post or message me the VIN and I can take a look to see if I can figure out the problem.

Same here -- all the rest of my Fordpass stuff works fine, just not the location. Happened shortly after 6.1 Update.

Anyone try disconnecting the battery to see if it gets it working?

Yesterday, 5/11, I had a new update and location now shows my actual location. It's slow sometimes. I hope that has happened for everybody.
... though lock/unlock still only works sometimes. :- )

Our 2022 Badlands is working fine, but the lower trim, lower optioned Black Diamond 2-door is still saying 1 American Rd, Dearborn MI. Ugh!

I also have version 6.1.

Here is my theory:
For the Sync systems that do not have any on-board nav (like you only have CarPlay), there is some new glitch that shows Michigan as the location. But for those with the built-in nav, all is fine.

The nav system is not what reports the vehicle location to Ford. This is most likely a misconfigured TCU.

Anyone know which Connected Vehicle Settings are required for the Location to work on the app?

This is how mine is set:
  • Vehicle Connectivity - ON
  • Share vehicle data - ON
  • Share vechile location - ON
  • Share driving data - OFF
Wasn't sure if "Share driving data" needs to be on which I rather not. My location quit working right before I got the new fordpass update. Tried disconnecting the battery with no luck.

That is how I have my settings in my truck and location works fine.

Do you know if that is something that typically gets updated by over-the-air updates from Ford?

Is the consensus that this issue is a recent problem?

This issue has been going around for a while. There is an OTA that is being sent out to other vehicles that address this. The OTA is 23-PU113-UNX-DC and it is the first OTA Ford has ever released that states WiFi is required. The reason that it is being pushed by WiFi is because some of those affected cannot receive OTA's via the vehicles modem. I have not spent enough time on this forum to see if you guys are getting it or not.

There are also different levels of this affecting vehicles. Some have no connectivity at all; no Fordpass, no data reporting to the cloud, no nothing. Others have minor issues like the location of the vehicle being off or intermittent connectivity.
