FordPass App v5.0 Launched

Just updated some apps on my Android phone today including Fordpass. Had been on 4.33.0. Saw changes including having to give Google my firstborn to see location on a map. Thought FU. Deleted the app got the apk for 4.33.0 and sideloaded it. All is well again!

anyone gotten location to work in FordPass app? I’m still in Dearborn…

Mine works fine. Didn’t have to do anything special. Check setting in SYNC to make sure your allowing location info to be shared.

Share location, data, driving and analytics are all turned on, no dice… Thanks for advice though, hadn’t thought to recheck that.

So now that I have the car, I can officially say that

1) Zone lighting is effing awesome, I even used it to finish up her first bath last night!

2) It sucks it's not on the app. Going into the car was annoying covered in soap with a million bugs outside.

Miracles never cease! My Bronco has appeared!

The new app V5.2.0 just plain sucks. Lots of features missing, harder to use than the old version, shows my vehicle as moving although it's been sitting in the garage parked for a few days.

Where within the app can you input service records (other than the dealer completing the service) and upload a receipt of the service like early version of the app. Has this functionality to do this been removed with the latest version. Thanks

I believe it's gone. Hopefully they bring it back. So far the old Ford Pass was quite better IMO.

The loss of the zone lighting feature is very frustrating. I used that quite a bit for camp and additional random site lighting. It made the otherwise relatively useless side mirror ditch lights useful. It was also a great party trick!

Yup, I feel that miles to empty was more useful information.

I prefer %, since I tend to fill when around 35-25%.
