FordPass App v5.0 Launched

Yesterday, the new app was showing location as 1 American Rd, Dearborn, MI. Now when I click on the location button, nothing happens.

Old phone with old app version 4.34.0 shows the same wrong location. Everything else reports correctly in both versions of the app I've tried.

This has been going on for months! Cleared data/cache on the phone. Samsung Galaxy s20 and s24.

There was some bug where it was showing a lot of folks as being in Dearborn permanently. Mine did that for a few weeks. Eventually my Bronco got a software update and it was fixed - don't think it had anything to do with Ford Pass app though

I don’t understand the point of not having a fuel level and only having only range? Sure the app looks fresh but it’s missing some fundamental information

I noticed that FordPass v. 5.0.1 is available now in the Apple store. Anyone try this version yet? Wondering if the zone lighting function is back. I'm still using v. 4.

no return of zone lighting.

I tried to hold off the update by unfortunately it updated automatically. The old version was so much better. Tire pressure, oil life, my extended warranty info and zone lightning all gone.

What a mess I have 2 phones screwed up. One says I have reward points, the other says no. Try calling Ford their screwed up.

This app is a train wreck. While superficially a visual improvement. Too many features are gone or buried. Finding the tire pressure is an adventure in poor design. Do you have an extended warranty? Ford Pass no longer cares. You get alleged mileage remaining but no fuel tank gauge? For a brief period you could revert to the previous version but I noticed this morning that was no longer available.

I'm late to the game on this discussion because it's my wife's Bronco but the fuel gauge was very useful, she doesn't like going to the gas station (I don't like her going either) so I would monitor the gas gauge to see when it was time to go to Costco. I know there is a range display but it's less useful. I assume they want the least amount of data going through the cell service but who updates an app to make it less useful...

i haven’t used the app since last fall, I’m very disappointed to lose zone lighting and warranty coverage confirmation. The bigger issue is that the security system alerts that tell me if the doors have been opened appears to be gone. I used that frequently.
