Its a very poor nave app with useless voice recognitipn iys like a CN product circa 2010.

google and waze are great throuh waze started sharing data wi LE and city where im at so deleted it. No newd since Bronvo wont do 140 like.mustang where it was useful.

If so.remote just use a map.or plug in sat.nav or my device yhat has sat connection....i dont get that remote though much and usually only has a couple trails.
Spell check or proof read first please !

Mt navigation system is up for renewal. I am tempted not to renew and just use Google maps.
Any suggestions please?
I’ve never used the on board nav. It doesn’t show any detours or alternate routes.

While all of our vehicles have the built-in Nav, we don't use it. We use Apple maps (IIRC powered by Google maps anyway) and have only occasionally been led astray. And you can download an area to your phone, so if you have terrible service it will use 'offline maps' to get you through. Had to do that several times and it always works.

Oh I thought in 2026 the forum tech did that automatically like MS Word in 1990 haha.

Many Thanks to everyone who responded to my question. As many have said, Waze, Google, Garmin etc are all good apps. / units. Personally I think Ford should include it for the 36 months of warranty.
I will not be paying to continue it, even though it is about $5. a month if paid annualy.

Good information, I received nothing when I bought my 2023 last month so I signed up for one month of connected navigation and connected premium… just to see what I was missing. Appears navigation is truly not very useful over what I have with Apple maps; if I do intend on going somewhere more remote than I already live I can always sign up for a month but likely the downloaded map capability of apple maps will be fine.

Built in Alexa feature seems to already be there but the connected premium adds streaming? I love Ford but this subscription stuff is cryptic … probably so to keep people thinking they need it. At least it only cost me $18 to find out :ROFLMAO:

I use Apple Maps on wireless CarPlay. I did not purchase the Ford subscription.

We use On-X with an iPAD with GPX for the times we are "out in the off-grid"; otherwise, WAZE.

I must be the outlier. I have used connect for over 3 years and have never had problem with it. Finds all the remote addresses I go to in UP without issue. Used points to renew subscription.
