I saw the image below when searching for in-dash component speakers for Broncos and looking at how people modified the OEM mounting and covers to fit them. This is from Sound Source Inc. in Idaho - I asked them for the part number(s), because I'd be interested in moving in that direction, and they said it was Bronco3wKME.

Does anybody know more information on this kind of a setup?

I was debating going 2 way or 3 way Focals up front - and ultimately went 2 way focals (es-100k) with 6.5 seperates in the kickpanel using the mobridge channels to get the crossovers right. I was looking at these 3 ways ( ES-165KX4 ) where its a 6.5 midbass, 4 mid, and tweeter. Its the same 4" mid thats in my es-100K two way, so I can tell you it fits in that dash location with no mods to the speaker cover etc. Then you'd have the 6.5 in the kicks, 4 in the dash, and then the tweeters in the A-pillar.

I’m good with the 2 ways up front! Sounds awesome so I’m not touching my setup!! No point of going 3 ways as I’m pretty much doing that with the separate mobridge channels for the kick panel vs dash!!

I did focal 3 way up front, focal components in rear on a audiocontrol d6.1200. The tweeters are temp mounted via vhb to the a pillars. I haven't found any a pillar tweeter mounts to my liking and have chose not to put them in the dash as above because it is not the ideal way to project a tweeters sound.

Lmk if you want photos.

The post was here if its anyone on here's Bronco:
Highly highly highly recommend MTI Acoustics for their dash plates and tailgate sub. They will cut them to fit the speakers and I can confirm that the Focal Flax 3 way will fit and sounds amazing. https://www.mtiacoustics.net/ford.h...Speaker-Panels/p/503984168/category=154083001
I have those installed with the 6.5 in the back, JL VXi amp, and a JL tailgate sub. The tuner at the shop is regarded as one of the best in the industry and he can do a remote tune if you are not able to go see them in Texas.

If anyone wants a set of Focal Flax EVO 3-way components with the MTI dash plates, I have a set available in the original box, plus the dash plates for $750. I upgraded to Focal Utopia.

tell me more about the Utopia set up….
what did you do?
I’ve been daydreaming about adding Utopia TBM tweeters, 3.5wm mids, and then 8WM in the kicks (no idea if they will fit). What are you driving them with and how do they sound?

What did the tune cost? I’m in the process of a similar install.

Also wondering did you tune with top on and top off?
MTI did the complete installation, so I think it was a little bit cheaper than what he normally charges. Looking at his website, looks like he charges $575 for most tunes. https://totaltuningusa.com/
Mine was done with the top on, but I could have done multiple tune presents if I had asked for it.
I haven’t noticed a significant difference in sound quality with the top off. In a lot of ways, the system sounds better the louder it gets and I’ve never wished that it would be louder. They do a lot of Broncos at their shop and have a lot of knowledge about what sounds best.
Jeff Hald is the name of the tuner and the owner of Total Tuning. He took a lot of time to answer my questions and walk me through everything, even months after the installation.

Pictures would be cool. I have been contemplating a 3 way setup and how to do it for a very long time. Would love to see what the temp mount in the pillars looks like. The dash mount Mti contraption looks really nice but is not an ideal way of running tweeters
