Man, I hope they do a video or something about this whole experience before, during, and after. One of those things that they thought "Why in THE HELL am I doing this????" many dozens of times....and now it's over, thinking about next year. Kind of like a mom with more than one child.

That original experience will go a long, long way in a second effort! Then again, I had a Husqvarna that had a sticker on the rear fender reading, "World Champions Forever". Can't do better than winning. Maybe a different class?
Very good video coming out soon. Plus a few other people there will have their side videos.

Intentional. He loves that combo
I can respect that. I was wondering if there was a weight or reliability or fuel burn or some other factors at work but "because it's what I like" is the best reason there is!

@NORCALGXP or @popo_patty, were they running the stock clutch? How about cooling? I'm sure they upgraded the Bilsteins/springs over OEM, but was it the OEM lower A-arms up front, and stock Dana axle in the back? I think the rules called for open diffs. Was it an aftermarket upper A-arm? 74 Weld rack? I'd think the roll cage structure reinforced the chassis quite a bit, even if they didn't do specific reinforcement work on the frame. Is there a build sheet posted somewhere?

With the lack of activity on this topic, I'm pretty sure 95% or more of the members don't recognize just how incredible this effort of people and equipment really was. I watched hours of the live feed and KNOW whatever that camera was showing, reality is an order of magnitude more brutal and the logistics of the support is "challenging" at best.

Oh well, they can keep posting about wiring solutions for color shifting LED accent lights. Y'all got the trophy.

I’ll be doing a full writeup shortly. I’m still driving home. We had Rad Media there filming the entire thing as well and they will be releasing a long form YouTube video on the race that will take some time though as they have over 150 hours of footage.

From one of the previous threads...they have the Bilstein 8112 coilovers. The Lower front control arm definitely does not look stock, based on the photos. Someone else can answer the rest.

I am pretty sure those are Solo Motorsports lower control arms (One of the sponsor stickers on the hood).

Someone else mentioned earlier in the thread they should double sheer the upper control arms, which surprised me that they hadn't because Solo Motorsports is the company that sells that kit.

I’ll make a complete write up in a separate thread complete with pics and all info in one place. I want to do it right so I’m taking my time. Should be done by end of week. It’s quite a story so it will be a bit of a read.
