Like a turboprop? Tell that to Lockheed C130 Hercules crews, that plane wouldn't exist without propellers on jet engines...It’s like putting a propeller on a jet. You can drive with your feet if you want to. That doesn’t make it a good idea
Why not question his parentage as well. I'd never solid front axle my Bronco because my parents are still married...No, this is more of a Keystone Light kind of situation..
... I did that name for a reason probably a year ago. And Finally, FINALLY some says something about it!!You see the irony here, right? Not picking on ya just thought it was a funny post when you look at your username.
Yeah, I suppose GOAT would still work when it comes to remapping shift points and throttle response. I was more wondering if it was still functional as far as 4wd and lockers (which I doubt it will be and manual hubs make it a moot point)
Also, I imagine the dash is probably lit up like a Christmas tree with different warning and check engine lights.
Still glad to see it as someone had to go first and start figuring everything out.
You forgot three on the tree, drum brakes and an oil canning hardtop. (I had a '67.)Its actually the prototype for the upcoming heritage edition ,sfa, hand crank windows, v8 engine stay tuned in 2027.
I don't think our definitions of "drives like a dream" mesh when it comes to paved roads. What the hell are you talking about? I daily drive a Wrangler TJ on 38s. It has a lot of suspension upgrades. It drives like a dream. Only reason I stopped at 38 was the wheelbase of a TJ is too short to go any bigger.
40s on a long wheelbase like a 4-door Bronco is a highly desirable combo.
I can't stand uninformed opinions. Jeez, man.
Yep ruined it. Just get a Jeep next time. And ruin that instead of a carefully engineered IFS 4x4Why? Waste of a Bronco that could have gone to someone who loves it for what it is.
I think it's awesome. Go for it, man. 40s are fantastic for serious wheeling on a truck with this kind of footprint.
It was my first interest, actually. I thought about going with a base and just ripping the hell out of it to turn it into a beast on 40s or something even bigger, but I've already gone through that process with my Jeep and I'm still working on it. The Bronco will fit my needs to be a light wheeler and daily driver in the early part of its life and as it gets older I'll start hacking it up more. I want to keep all the tech for now. No doubt that guy had to give up all kinds of electronic doo-dads (most of which don't do a hell of a lot -- for example GOAT modes, that stuff is mostly for noobs.) But when you get the nice big screen and heated steering wheel you think to yourself... "I'll be good with 37s on this thing."
Super glad someone is pushing it to 40s outta the gates, though. It's awesome. We should ALL enjoy watching that. There is absolutely no reason to be critical of creativity and uniqueness.
Unlimited amount of lift and strength. Sky's the limit now. Whoever you are thank you for making things fun. And to the pansy naysayers here. I'm sure this is not his only vehicle so daily drive ability road sensors bla bla is kinda a moot point. I hope you put in a V8 motor while you are at it. The only waste of a good bronco is the ones sitting on dirt mountain. What’s the point of swapping a solid axle.
