Has anyone done it?
It appears I need to order the standard floor panel, (4) tie-downs and rear plastic trim.
I'm unclear if the standard tie-down bolts (small and large washer?) are the same used for the slide-out tailgate mounting.

Why? I love mine.

That said, you will need the 4 floor d-rings with bolts, 4 d-ring covers rear trim piece, floor and mat.

Sounds like you pretty much named it all. Too bad you're not local or I would love to trade my floor for one of these.

Watch an installation video and you will be able to see what exactly they removed.

I simply never use it. It adds loading height, slightly reduces cargo floor area, and Ford still refuses to offer a mat for it.

It's dead weight because I never use it. I wish it had been an option, rather than standard equipment......there are other options unavailable on the Everglades that I'd rather have more.

And also the door threshold replacement this might help just follow in reverse.

Yeah, correct.

You will need the rear tie-down points, the trim pieces for the tie-town points, and the giant load floor piece. You can go either with the rubberized vinyl load floor that's standard on the Black Diamond/Badlands trim or the carpeted that standard on Big Bend/Outer Banks/etc.

And yes, the bolts are different, but they're just standard metric threads, so you can hardware store those that if you want.

Parts:
  • Tie towns:
    • (4) M2DZ-78550A74-A
    • (4) M2DZ-78313A68-AA
    • (2) W706027-S439
  • Load floor
    • Carpeted: M2DZ-7813046-D
    • Vinyl: M2DZ-7813046-B
You should probably double-check my part numbers with the help of your dealership parts counter. And of course, they can order it all for you.

It'll probably be just shy of $1000 to make the switch, with the bulk of the price being that load floor. May be a smart idea to find someone on the forum who wants the slide-out tailgate and do a simple parts swap.

Didn't somebody put an airline cargo mat w/tie downs down instead of the floor? Was that @KABQ?

Just sent the instructions to you via msg. Everything that shows being tossed into the trash is the parts you need to replace the SOTG.

Lol and I just bought a slide-out tailgate. I did not check before, but I see you have a Everglades. Standard on that model.

As others said, it may be best to find someone local to you who wants a slide-out, and just arrange to have the parts swapped.

It wasn't me, but yeah someone put aircraft seat track back there. I can't find it with a quick search, but I'll look again. It's a freaking good idea!
