Factory Fog Light Switch

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have fog lights on order and a Big Bend mid package with modular bumper and no connectors located by the tow hooks. Was hoping to install a factory switch to use for the fog lights. I'm wondering if there is somewhere else in the factory harness to tap in to do this. Can anyone help?

If your bronco didn't have fogs or sensors originally, you're going to have to go back to C203, Wich is a large harness connector inside the driver's fenderwell... Take the liner out of the driver's side, and look up on the frame horn that runs immediately under the fusebox/battery area... the connector is the large one in this photo;

The two wire connector you see is the one I added for mine, you need to splice the wires going to pin 48 and 43 of C203, 48 is a yellow/orange wire to the + right light, and 43 is brown, to the left light. you just need to ground the other wires from the fog lights.

Only on the first page here, however, why not wire one upfitter to relays and power the whole thing off one? unless you want to only light some of them.

If your bronco didn't have fogs or sensors originally, you're going to have to go back to C203, Wich is a large harness connector inside the driver's fenderwell... Take the liner out of the driver's side, and look up on the frame horn that runs immediately under the fusebox/battery area... the connector is the large one in this photo;

Also, by using these wires, do you know which fuses the fog lights operate off of (just curious as to whether they need to be installed)? I have a buddy with a lift that he's generously offered to let me use. I told him I would need more than a day, this might be morphing into about a week...

A lift makes it so much easier, you can pull the wheel and liner easily, and work comfortably that way! I can't imagine doing that wiring on jackstands, Your neck would be sore after 30 minutes

somewhere near the beginning of this thread, someone suggested speaker connectors from Amazon might work. I ordered them dirt cheap and considered filling them with caulk for weatherproofing. Instead, I cut the weatherproof plugs that were in the bumper (protecting the wire harness female plugs) and took the gaskets out, made a hole in the center and slid the wires through. They are perfectly sealed and the speaker connectors are an exact fit. Made all of my FORScan changes and my Rigid lights are working great. I had them on an upfitter switch but wanted to add the cornering function. The Amazon connectors are a great way to go especially if your lights are bare wire with no connectors.

Sorry if this has already been covered, but does anyone happen to know what the maximum amount of current that the OEM Fog Light circuit can drive?

I am looking to use this circuit to drive Diode Dynamics SSC2 Pro fog lights (rated at 2A each), so if anyone can confirm they have successfully done this, it would be a good as a value…

I'm running two 20 watt Sylania Lights on mine.. The Factory Fogs are 20 watt as well, so it should be able to handle 6 Amps total, but you have to use both circuits for that.. I did run them both off one circuit for about a week, and didn't see any ill effects during that...

So since my Bajas have a harness can I technically wire just to either the brown wire or the yellow/ orange wire?

You Technically can, I did exactly that for a bit, But you'll have to turn on just one in Forscan, or you'll probably get errors for the one that doesn't have anything connected to it. Also you're putting twice the load that the factory is putting on that wire if you do.

So, Can you? Yes, But I wouldn't reccomend it.
