What Ford needs to do is add the “nudge” feature when your hand goes behind the handle to unlock the door. That’s where it belongs in the first place. The whole point of intelligent entry is to not need to get the fob out of your pocket. I’ve been using the fob lately more so than the thumb on the door trick.
Agreed. The customer should not have to train himself to touch the handle, pull lightly on the door, WAIT for the window to drop and then open the door. Love my Bronco but what an annoyance.

My 2023 heritage used to crack all 4 windows once the unlock button was hit. Not anymore, I was better off before the update. Obviously I am not the only one in this thread with this problem...my question is has anyone heard any new rumors from Ford about getting this fixed?

Got it last night. The only obvious difference is the lack of window drop on unlocking the doors. Not sure if that was intentional or a bug in the update.

Perhaps there will be a forthcoming update to fix the update - Apple seems to do that a lot recently.
Never had the windows drop when unlocking. Only when actually pulling door open. To drop before being snagged on weatherstrip would be nice....and the way it should be.

Do you know if I can un install this recent update and go back to what used to work just fine?
There is no way to go back or uninstall an update.

Yeah, just got my bronco last weekend, been training the kids. How annoying. Already annoyed I lost my keypad entry. I turned off auto updates because I don't want this fix.

Yours being new did the windows drop when unlocked? Mine would drop from the key fob or the unlock button inside the car.

I made an appointment with the dealer to fix. I'm not sure how confident I am being that when I told them about this bad update it's the first they have heard of it. Maybe the best idea came a few posts back to just leave the doors off.

Yep, that’s exactly how it is currently working.

Agreed! My Challenger had this function and the frameless windows worked flawlessly for the 8 years I had it. The windows also didn't wobble and were quite sturdy, to boot.

The removal of the auto-down from the remote sucks! That was a great feature on a hot day.

Sooo is window drop not coming back?
Not that I'm aware of. It's possible they will try and implement it again in the future, but not guaranteed.

Wow that sucks - seems like it would be so simple but cars have become an engineering marvel and nightmare all at the same time.
