Hey guys, so this will be a bit long please bear with me.
I purchased my Bronco 2022 Wildtrak on Feb 2023.
Towards the end of February 2024 I took it for its 20k KM service at the dealer. I left that day and everything was fine, then 2-3 days later the car was shaking when I would turn it on and the check engine light would start blinking. I drove the car to the dealer (official service center) since it was less than 5 mins away from where the car was at the time. They received it and a week later they called me letting me know it was ready for pick up. When I asked what happened, they said they replaced cylinder number 5 and it was done under warranty. At the time I brushed it off as a one time thing and move on with my life.
2 days ago I took the car to the dealer to preform the scheduled 50k KM service. At this point I've driven around 37k KM on my car but I am doing the services based on their time intervals rather than distance travelled to make sure the car stays in proper shape. I received my car on the same day and everything was great. Today morning as I was turning on the ignition I started to feel the car shake/vibrate again very similarly to how it did last time. I waited a bit and the check engine light started blinking again. I called the dealership and they sent a tow truck to pick it up and take it for checking since it's still under warranty. They still have not gotten back to me with what is the issue this time but I suspect something similar.
So I wanted to ask you guys, isn't it weird that this engine misfiring has happened right after service twice? could the dealership be messing with the car somehow or am I being paranoid? Should I just let them fix it again under warranty or should I escalate things? I am worried that after the warranty is over if such a thing happens again I would be forced to pay a lot for it. I feel like it is related to whatever is happening during service otherwise why is it happening at these specific times? Please let me know what you guys would do if you were in my place.
Thanks for your time
