I just moved to Northern VA; the city's a nightmare. Almost all parking garages have a max height of 60 inches, and the spots are designed for compact cars. I now walk about a half mile to most places after finding an above-ground parking area. The walk doesn't bother me, but finding the parking areas is annoying with how many streets are often shut down or incorrect on navigation devices.

That's crazy because that eliminates virtually all SUV, pickup truck, etc. from being able to park

That number does not sound right to me as pretty much any cross over is taller than 5 feet. I would believe 70 inches (5 foot, 10 clearance), but not 5...

Edit: Also, I am from about 30 miles north of NYC and frequently travel back. I cannot recall seeing a garage below about 70 inches of clearance in NYC.

I'm on the verge of buying a 2024 and although I don't live in an urban area, I do have to go downtown (Atlanta) a few times per month for in-office work and I'm wondering if the Raptor is parking garage-friendly? Asking because I have zero issues with the Badlands, but considering the added height and width of the Raptor I wanted to see if anyone could give their experience in similar situations. Thank you!
You should be fine in 99% of the parking garages you see. Only issue I had was the OEM antenna scraping in some of the lower garages I came across. I’ve replaced it with a .50 gauge antenna 😉 so no issues there. If you have a rack or lights mounted to the roof, you may run I to some problems more often than you want.

My old CJ-5 was great, could shoehorn that into any parking space.
LOL, you could probably park it 90* to the curb and still not stick out as far as a Braptor !!!

But yeah, the 2dr is super nimble around town.

I can't help but think that if the Braptor flares fit in any given space, the occupants should have zero issues opening the doors to get out!!
... you might just be trapped in that space between the front and rear flares though!

Just have to stay in shape and keep that belly fat down to squeeze through tight spaces.

A demonstration that owning a Raptor is good for your health.

Yeah, the antenna makes contact with my garage door, so it will definitely be getting replaced if I buy it. Recommendation on what you replaced yours with?

So my 2024 actually came with 2 antennas; the stock one along with a stubby carbon fiber one (which was on the vehicle at the dealership). I like the look of the stubby a lot more and have been running that from day one.

Is the stubby one included with the carbon fiber interior package upgrade perhaps? I just kind of assumed so when I took delivery but noticed it is not listed as part of the options package.

Best thing about my Braptor is its fat bottom. Mama hates trying to park it and never asks to drive it. It will fit in any garage around here. Phoenix is built for F-250s.

Racks get you in trouble though. I realized I can no longer fit in the terminal garage at Sky Harbor for instance (73 inches clearance).

The one I’m looking to buy has the carbon fiber interior option, I haven’t asked about or looked for a stubby antenna yet.
