So far, I'd agree, Motorcraft seem to be the best for the Bronco.

On my F150 I would say Bosch Icons, or RainX, and I had great luck with those two. I have a set of RainX on my Bronco now, but honestly, they aren't as good as the Motorcraft were - they were just in stock when I got stuck in Bakersfield in the rain with a torn wiper.

And having lived in FL for a couple of years myself - the rain there could hit so hard that I don't think much of anything could just barrel through it without being blinded. It can flat out pour out there.

Maybe turn your wipers on. I just drive faster. This helps blow the water off the windshield. Besides, drive 1/2 a mile and you will be out of it.

@Montana Bronco - Love bugs are different than flying cockroaches. The flying cockroaches are called Palmetto Bugs.

It would probably be better if you stayed out of Florida. This way your knowledge of the local language there won’t get you in trouble.

This is very true if you don’t know the plural of y’all. We also not need you holding up the line at the Publix deli trying to order.

I put a coat or Rejex on the glass after I wash it, works great.

It's Nutz! I did get the window tint at the dealership and I wonder if that's causing some of it. Not the tint but the Chemicals used to apply it. I'll clean it then goop-it-up with RainX and see if it helps.

Have to agree, as a former resident of Florida, it rains HARD. Texas rains are like a light Florida sprinkle most of the time but there have been exceptions. I drove across Alligator Alley during a tropical storm in a 2500 pound RWD sports car pushing 600hp. It was interesting and my passenger was pretty sure we were going to die..

Definitely use Rain-X. Makes a huge difference. I use it on all the windows, not just the front.

What's everyone's favorite brand of wiper blades? I'm due for replacement.

GREAT question, AF.. I've been driving for 67 years and still don't have a fave.. Usually I buy whatever Costco sells; this year it's BFGoodrich Premiums, and I just realized that my 2YO Bronco is now using 2YO wiperblades.

I believe I'll never forget a rainstorm in CA.. I was coming home (to Phoenix) from an open-track event in northern CA when it started raining, and over perhaps just a couple minutes, the wiper-requirements went from every-few-seconds intermittent to full speed, emergency blinkers on, and lifted throttle (on I-5!) to about 25MPH before I could see out the windshield.. SCARY, it was indeed.

I've been using mostly Bosch wipers here in Wetstern Warshington. They seem to work well on all our vehicles.

RainX is also an absolute requirement. I can't stand wipers and only use them as a last resort.

Forgo the Rain-X; get yourself a clay bar and some quick detail spray. Do the windshield and any other glass. Lasts way longer than Rain-X IMHO.

Good advice....I actually use polishing compound and an orbital buffer on the windshield, and then top it off with a coat or Rejex. I also hate turning on my wipers, and this keeps the water flowing off the windshield very well.

I grew up in Houston, and lived/live now in North Texas (DFW). We get some rain. Like, stopped on the highway hard rain, don't turn on the windshield wipers they might break rain. Raining buckets, for real.

So I moved to the Bay Area after college, y'know, Mountain View/Palo Alto. Did electrical work. And one day I was in an office building and this lady comes in, "Man, it's really coming down out there! That's dangerous. I almost stayed home." I haven't even seen it rain yet, so I run to the front doors and yeah, it's like misting. Where's the rain??

I go back, where was it raining? She's like, outside right now, it hasn't rained like this for months! We walk to the door and she points, see! I'm like, uh no! Well, it turned out it rained just enough for the oil on the roads to get slick, so that was why it was dangerous. Whenever it rains, that happens! She didn't believe me when I told her about gully washers in Houston growing up.

I still don't know what wipers are best for the Bronco, but I know for sure that ScrubBlades are NOT worth buying. It's like they're not even trying to contact the windshield.

Although the tint is applied to the inside they more than likely cleaned the outside very thoroughly and possibly removed any previously applied water repellent. Apply Rain-X or any other water repellent treatment for windows and you should be good to go.
