I decided to stick with a pocket-type solution, but I didn’t want a hard metal or plastic. So I bought the iAG pockets which are made of a TPE which has some flexibility.

I did the full plastic ones and work great.
I bought a set of the full plastic ones that had a rubber inner skin. I just mounted the rubber inner skin and left the hard plastic off. The rubber is nice, it’s thick well made and is every bit as stout as the plastic when it comes to holding stuff. The benefit to me is it gives when my leg presses against it and it will not get in the way or scratch the other door when removing them. I get the full storage size of a hard pocket with the benefit of it not being annoying if my leg rests against it while driving.

Search Bronco door pockets.

Mine are like this. It comes with a hard plastic outer and a rubber inner. I just used the rubber inner. Works great for the reasons I stated.

I ended up buying these Amazon cheapies, haven't installed them yet, but quality seems good for the price. I'll follow up after I put them on...

Bartech door bags. Never hit them. Soft. Can hold lots when full

I had always admired the M2M pockets since they look pretty sturdy, so when someone popped up with ones like that at an attractive price, I jumped on it. They will also cover the nets, so you can leave them in place to keep stuff from rattling around.

I like the Bartac bags, but they install with velcro. Adhesives fail badly in Phoenix. They do look just the right size for a 1911 though.
Uhhh…no. You are incorrect. I have the Bartact bags and they bolt in the existing bolt holes. There is zero Velcro. They hold quite a lot and don’t hit my legs at all. I’ve had them for three years and they have performed flawlessly. A 10 out of 10.

I have these as well and really like them. The cup holder is great. I did just reinstall them and take out the original factory net as it only seemed to get in the way...

I’m considering that. I like the Badlands accent color, that it divides the pocket, and it doesn’t get in the way with my usual thermos. But if I try to put in something larger - like the 3” OD Yeti thermos I got at the Bronco Rodeo or a roll of paper towels - I have to use my other hand to push the netting out of the way.

I have the M2M in my Bronco. They are, like everything I have from M2M, excellent.

I have the DV8 in my JK Rubicon. They are good, but the level of quality is just a bit shy of the M2M pieces.
Most if not all DV 8 is made in China
I’ve experienced soft bolts in one of there other products

I use them, they are perfect and look like they came from the factory. No idea why Ford just used the super flimsy nets instead of something like this.

Mine screwed in! And yes, I'd say they're adequate for a 1911.

I have this setup and like it. Might switch to Bartact bags some day, assuming they leave enough room to hold a “standard” size water bottle behind the bag.
