not happy with the 8” so going another route. I’ll update later.

oh I wasn't expecting eye ball shaking. like I said, I was just expecting a bit more then stock and .. it just doesn't seem like it did that. again.. not bashing the mod just sharing for me.. I would say to someone whos going down this road.. invest in something other then that factory enclosure.

The kicker's quality is much better nowadays, I bet the air space in your enclosure is off.

i did end up playing with it some more and was able to tune it a little better and get a little more but still wasn’t happy. This set up will allow me to have options.

Soldered in the Wires, went back to that kick amp. Didn't like the sound of the sundown amp.
This kicker can push these two Memphis 10” easily.

I finally got my Kicker 48TRTP122 off the floor of the Bronco and it sounds glorious.

Really doesn't matter which version of the CompRT you got (there's a 4 Ohm and 2 Ohm) - the 500.1 is rated down to 1 Ohm, so you'd probably wire your voice coils in parallel either way. If you wired them in series, even if you had the 4 Ohm version, it wouldn't break anything, but it would be quiet, as that 500W amp would be down to like 50W output against so much impedance. So maybe???

My Kenwood amp is only rated down to 2 Ohm, I have the 2 Ohm version wired in series for a 4 Ohm load.

Running Kicker Key 500.1 (500 watt 1 ohm) into Rockford Fosgate PUNCH 12" box (1 ohm) and it sounds awesome. Changed stock speakers in kicks (6.5) and dash (4). Box is on waterproof detach so if I need the space easy to store in garage. Budget upgrade as I has the sub from prior vehicle.
