Finally got a few hundred miles on the new BaseSquatch, and so I took it out to the desert and high centered on a big rock to, uh... test how strong the gas tank is. I'll go with that lie story.
It passed the test, no leaks. Plastic is really strong. Bonus: my tank still showed full when I got back.

Any ideas how to get the dent out? I though it might just pop back once I removed the bracket, but nope.
Also, where is the pickup located? Front, center, back?

As far as getting the dent out…

No easy way. You can try pounding on the edges of the dent and trying to get it to pop back. If you unhook it and drop it out entirely you can try pressuring with air - but don’t do that installed. I probably would advise against using a torch to heat it up. You could drill a hole and thread something in to pull it out, but again, I don’t advise that

Try doing the paintless dent repair method of melting a hot glue stick to it and yanking it after it dries, although I'd try to keep the temp as low as possible when doing it

Makes me think of when badlands owners say the tank skid is why it’s the “serious offroader” of the lineup. You can literally bend it by hand. If anything it’s a false sense of security where you might be better off just being careful knowing you don’t have a skid.

Epoxy and slide hammer might do it. I think the tank is HDPE, but the only thing I've ever found that sticks is Permabond TA4610. Which I don't have at the moment. Will buy and try.

Need a friend or shop with an electromagnet...
A place that lifts heavy steel. Or a frame straightening repair shop? [think most use hydraulics]

I wonder why all 2 door broncos come with a tank skid?
