So I had my 23 BL serviced for about a month due to electrical issues. A new BCM was installed along with a new wiring harness. I had done the Procal tune with the A.S.S system disabled. When i got the Bronco back A.S.S was enabled again. Is my tune gone because of the new BCM? I thought tunes were tied to the PCM. Is their any harm of reflashing the previous tune from my calibrator?

Thanks

Maybe the updated the PCM also and just didn’t mention it?
Changing the BCM won’t delete the tune.

Perfectly safe to just reflash using the procal.

Well, the easy answer here is just use the ProCal box to re-install the tune.

if the tune is still there it won’t hurt anything. If the tune got dropped in the upgrade it will fix it.

I don’t think the dealer can ninja upgrade the tune without having the ProCal box, but I don’t know that for certain. They certainly can ninja-delete the tune with updates to other modules though, but so long as you have the ProCal box it’s just a matter of re-installing

if you are worried about warranty I believe that ASME thing only applies to the initial install - just use a battery tender while ProCal does its thing - takes about 5 minutes and all you have to do is hit the ignition button when it tells you to

I had the same issue after a service to address a 'Charging System' error I was getting. They reset all the settings (lights, double honk, etc.) I had put in with ForScan (except the added GOAT mode). I decided to just throw in the (previously mentioned) Autostop Eliminator. Now, I can 'mask' that functionality by leaving it activated when I drop it off for service.

Exactly. And I think there could be potential updates you might pick up if you plug the device back into your computer.

Would you recommend the ASL? No matter what tune or what ford my do, that auto ASL will keep doing its job?
I find it works perfectly and it is hard wired so no programming can undo it.

I've had the auto stop eliminator in for 3 years. Not a single hiccup, works as described.
