I hate it when people put non-metric on new cars.
That's a fair complaint but it's pretty common for offroad upgrade parts. Plus a 19mm socket will fit a 1/2" bolt head just fine.

Factory is 10.9 which is somewhat equivalent to grade 8.
Factory put bolts through the crumple zones?

(Full disclosure: the capable bumper that came with MY23 Badlands did not utilize any hardware through the crumple zone)

No I'm referring to the long bolts that hold the bumper on from the front. For the plates over the crumple zone sure grade 8 would be overkill. LOD supplies 8.8

Come on man, you gotta pump those R&D numbers. Get with the BroncBusted(TM) pricing!
$1500 for that level of peace of mind.
Know you kidding and poking fun, believe we can safely state that our Tricky Dick is being truly honest when he states that "I am not a crook" unlike the other Tricky Dick from 50 years ago or the other known Bronco tax rip-off's artists

If you're easily offended then everyday is Christmas!
I think that's how that works.

After @Tricky Dick confessional last week I thought I should pull the rest of the parts and directions for my bumper out of the box and check them out. I had previously just pulled the bumper out and started cutting out the parts not needed for the winch to fit, thought I would just figure out the other stuff later.

Low and behold, look what I found. 😮 Even though this bumper is on the "cheaper" side it does not lack in the bumper pad re-enforcement. 😁

1/4" thick, "spacers" for the "crumple zone" only down side , for me, is the top of the inside one will need to be trimmed a bit because it will hit the pipe on my HMIC. They should still help quite a bit, and I don't have to make them now. 😁

Well shoot, those look kind of familiar. Should work well.

Real and possibly dumb question, is the Bronco all Metric? I have owned nothing but Japanese and German and my biggest fear was that I would need to deal with SAE bullshit when the majority of my heavily used tools is metric and I store metric hardware for all my projects.

American cars have been metric for longer than you can even imagine.
