CVF boost piping opinions

I’ve got a bunch of reward money to spend on extremeterrain.com and one thing I’m looking at is the CVF aluminum boost piping kit. Anyone have them? What’s are your thoughts on these? I’m thinking the aluminum will add more heat to the intake charge. Is the Mishimoto worth nearly double?

I have the CVF H/C charge pipes and their IC. I am very happy with the quality and there was a noticeable improvement over stock. Once I tuned the truck it really opened up, in sport mode I'm giddy driving it- it really is how the 2.7L should drive stock. I can't come up with a reason to spend the extra $ on another low mount IC.

Are you forced to remove the active shutter with the CVF intercooler.

Yes, pretty sure all require that. I don't see the need to keep them though. I also have the plastic lower shroud and I cut a 1" slot across the top to open up the access for air to flow over the IC.

I took the motor off the shutter and plugged it back in and zip tied it out of the way. Computer thinks it is still working so no codes.

just ordered the piping kit. I’ll grab the intercooler when I earn enough rewards to cover that. Looks like some real good gains even without a tune. I’m working on getting an e85 tune as well.

I’ve had their intercooler sitting in my garage for a couple months waiting on the pipes. I’m getting really frustrated with the loooong wait for the pipes!

I have CPe intercooler with CVF hot and cold charge pipes. No need to remove shutter with CPe intercooler, which is why I went with it. I'm very happy with both. As others have said the charge pipes really wake the engine up. I also did an injen intake at the same time. Highly recommend.

Mishimoto's pipes are nice if you use their intercooler with the bigger inlet and outlet. I figure it's less restrictive than the other options. Not the biggest core though.

I see the Wagner tuning intercooler on extreme terrain too. It does appear to cool better than the cvf but with the sale they’re running is it worth that extra dough Over the cvf? Their info claims about 10% better cooling capacity.

They said they are waiting on some of the connectors and didn’t have an ETA

Which pipes are you waiting on? Is it for the low mount or high mount intercooler?
