Overall: easiest and probably cheapest way to get +50hp to the wheels. Some small issues that they can easily fix, but overall I’m happy with it!
Here is a Facebook thread with a quick 2.5min video detailing as much as I can as quick as I can. Below is a chart I made that compares all the current plug and play tunes (as well as my Goose Tuned dyno results). All the data was pulled from their websites. I had to convert the Ford Tune to Wheel Horsepower to match (15% loss assumed).
Here’s a quick run down if you don’t want to watch the video:
Pros:
- Very easy to install/ uninstall
- Cobb loaded tune is one of the fastest on the market
- Check codes easily
- Control pedal sensitivity
- Easily swap tunes (towing, higher octane, upgrades, etc)
- Easily add a custom tune (Goose Tune)
- Can use Mac or PC to update (HP tuners is PC only)
- Easy to read screen that auto-dims
Cons:
- Performance section not functional
- Tire size is not accurate
- No auto start/ stop control
Overall I think it’s a great tune option that opens the door to adding more power with a custom tune. This is certainly the easiest upgrade you can get for over 50hp to the wheels!
One piece of advice: I highly reccomend updating the software on the Cobb Accessport using the computer app prior to install.
