So, I have a 2.7 and recently ordered the "gapped" plugs from Panda Motorworks :) (hoping to get better fuel economy.....)

Anyways, I keep getting labor quotes that are insane....Does anyone know of a step-by-step video that exists anywhere to show me how to do this? I do have the "magnetic" spark plug tool to secure it properly and also a TQ wrench. I just need a guide.....to make sure I get past all that wiring and connectors that area ll over the top of the engine.

Thanks in advance oh great forum!!! :) :please:

Oh i saw that already - that's for the 2.3 not the 2.7. I did try scouring YT as well.....but maybe I missed something.

I saw that as well thank you. Just wanted to also see if there were any more with better camera angles and not ones that are "exploratory." It's just a mess under that hood.

Now you did it. You made me go out into the cold garage :sneaky: First picture shows a big screwdriver pointing to the center coil pack middle red arrow as well. It shows the connection you will need to unplug bottom center arrow. It shows the nut/ stud you will need to remove top center arrow. once unplugged & nut/ stud removed pull the coil pack up & out and you will see the spark plug. Left & right arrows show location of the other two. Rinse & repeat.
Ford Bronco Changing Spark Plugs...... passenger coil pakcs

Screwdriver & arrow point to center coil pack. same procedure. Hard to see in this picture but there are 2 more 1 left one right. With the other videos you should be able to get the idea. HTH 🤠

I know squat about either of these motors, but having seen a few spark plug threads pop up now, I've always wondered ...

Would you also benefit from indexing these plugs while you're at it? ... Assuming of course, that these plugs or motors even lend themselves to indexing the spark plugs....

I did research this as well. And......"Indexing spark plugs on a 2.7L EcoBoost engine, typically found in Ford F-150 trucks, is generally not considered necessary as the performance gain is usually minimal and not worth the added effort; however, some enthusiasts may still choose to do it for potentially slightly improved combustion efficiency by aligning the spark plug electrode with the optimal intake valve position."

Although these plugs are specifically "gapped" from Panda Motorworks optimally.

Curious for my own knowledge here. Is there any real benefit to the 1 step colder plugs on our motors? I have the FP tune but it didn’t recommend different plugs at all.

Thanks. I’m gonna steer away from them and stick to OEM. It’s time to replace mine anyway. I’m assuming Ford Performance designed their tune around the OEM plugs since they don’t recommend different ones.
Whipple does not mention changing plugs either 🤠
