I did not weigh mine but that seems strange. I hung my stock hood on the wall with one hand and the Cervini's hood seemed a good bit heavier when installing. Most fiberglass hoods I have installed on other vehicles were heavier than the stock ones.About 10lbs lighter than stock hood. Not sure about specifics
From my experience using hood struts on fiberglass hoods I always made a plate from aluminum that was a few inches wide that I attached the strut ball mount to then riveted the plate to the hood. This spreads the weight over a larger area and keeps the fiberglass from cracking at the attachment point. I had struts on my stock hood but haven't gotten around to making them work with the Cervini's though. There is definitely enough room and a flat enough area on the bottom side to do this though.Looks great, I assume going this route you have to go back to using the factory hood prop rod? I guess one could drill and tap the hood and put their own attach point for using gas shocks for lifting the hood?
Cervinis told me 27lbs for their hood and I was under impression the stock hood was 35lbs. But could have been switched.I did not weigh mine but that seems strange. You could be correct. I certainly did not weigh either of them. It just could have been the weight was more top heavy with the scoop on the fiberglass hood making it feel that way. I do know my stock aluminum hood started moving around a good bit at interstate speeds , even after adjusting the stops. The Cervini's is solid and closes with a thudCervinis told me 27lbs for their hood and I was under impression the stock hood was 35lbs. But could have been switched.

$1500 all in with paint and shipping. Just be prepared to wait 12 weeks. They are super backed up on painted items. It turned out perfect but if you aren’t willing to wait that long I believe they said they can ship the hood in 2-3 weeks and a couple people told me around $800 to paint local
That's actually much better than I expected - thank you! Does it come with a liner / sound deadener on the inside? How's the "floppiness / wobble" factor at highway speeds?
Oh I meant your brush bar .... i couldn't find the weight on the website you postedAbout 10lbs lighter than stock hood. Not sure about specifics

We have a package designed specifically for customers like you who have upgraded to an aftermarket hood that had our system for the stock hood. It consists of mounting hardware and new end fittings and is available here:I’ve seen a few guys use hood struts with no problems. The holes aren’t there but using either a small self tapping screw or drilling a pilot hole is very easy
