Hemisfear, do you also yell about spacers on the Miata forum? This sounds so familiar 😂

I'm old school...spacers are a janky way to change your offset and is definitely mall crawler territory in that its form over function.
Nothing like putting extra force on your bearings, just to look cool...lol
Imagine the rock crawling Kevin could have done had he took those "janky" spacers off?

Complete BS

Bora (made in USA and high quality) are widely used on large tractors and commercial Ag equipment.

My Kubota tractors always run spacers.

My ‘24 Braptor with 37x13.5” tires runs 3/8” Bora hub centric spacers in order to keep the front tires off the UCAs.

There nothing wrong with high quality hub centric spacers with a reasonable thickness...

.
THIS ^^^ is what makes the internet so special!

Absolutely, but tractors and commercial Ag equipment experience completely different environments and maintenance that our vehicles do and the equipment itself is vastly different.
I see spacers as stop gap at best, janky because its only a cost saver, sort of reminds me of Ocean Gate! lol
If you were to check the fasteners frequently you are probably ok, but those are your children in the passenger seats, not produce!

Sorry, a lifetime of motorsports experience tells me no!

Jeeps are basically tractors, but not Broncos! lol :)

I see this thread is living free in your mind. LOL You have zero clue what you are talking about...

Tractor and commercial Ag (ground engaging) equipment can put far more stress and load on a wheel spacer than a typical vehicle..

Cost saver? I guess, a set of (4) Bora spacers generally runs about $320..... I've run small Bora spacers on my G2 Raptor, my current TRX and now my Braptor.....

Please post up one single time that a high quality Bora wheel spacer has failed in a truck or car application Just one please...

We'll wait.....

Wow, you actually bought a TRX,?
This completely makes sense now!
Yes, cost saver! Where can you purchase 4 wheels for $320? lol
No one ever said anything about the spacer failing, the main concern is user error and you definitely win the prize today!

I've owned (2) daily driver F150 Raptors, and my daily drivers now are a new L2 TRX and new Braptor I purchased in July..... Some of my other 'fun' vehicles are listed to the left... But you want to talk $hit about my TRX LOL

Exactly what 'user error' are you talking about? LOL... the 3/8" hub centric spacers on my Braptor simply slip on over the wheel studs.... Larger spacers incorporating their own wheel studs bolt on like a wheel. Blue Loktite, torque and check at every tire rotation exactly like the wheels (except Loktite). I would hope that even you with your "lifetime in motorsports' could probably figure that out.... LOL

Stick with your 10 year old Focus, I'm sure you will be just fine..

Folks put wheel spacers on without knowing anything about scrub radius and king pin axis. If these are maintained similar to oem then geometrically no real difference. But that is not usually the case. Many add spacers and just increase positive scrub.

Nonetheless even geometrically proper spacers add an additional interface that must be adequately maintained. A mechanically simpler and more robust solution is to just get appropriate wheels. Cost is always part of the equation, just know what you are getting into.

WOW… A square cross-section broncbuster tierod brace. Surely this must be the way. I hear they are a bargain. Save some money with the wheel spacers so you can get the prized possession. Sounds like a win/win. 🤔

Sorry if I offended you, I just hate Mopars, nothing personal.
User error is the frequency required to check and tighten to use spacers safely...I'm shocked that you couldn't figure out what I was referring to!
You mean my Focus ST, with 300,000kms and absolutely no issues...I will! :)

And you have fun with your Stallantis crap too, hopefully they will stick around for your warrantee, you might need it! lol
