WOW! There sure are a lot of opinions on here. Also getting perspective from outside the situation is good. Especially from people who actually own a Bronco.
I get the reasoning behind letting go of the i want my sasquatch package mentality and i won't win against a big dealership, but it still really pisses me off to be treated like shit after waiting so long.
Yesterday Found out Phil Long Ford isn't honoring any price protection for me
My original build came in at $56840.00 the price now is $58590.00 without the sasquatch package or the modular bumper.
A Bronco in the holding pen which is 100% like the build I ordered, but say sold on the windshield has a sticker price of $67810.00.
Oh, and every Bronco except 2 had the sasquatch package on it.
ill see what happens tomorrow when i go back....... calm and friendly like
You have a reason to be pissed for sure; think we all share with you the sour taste. As someone who ordered in July 2020 and only took delivery this Feb, I know the emotions that come with the long wait. I was lucky that my rig arrived as ordered minus tow which I removed and kinda regret now.

As others, I’ll parrot this to you: Don’t let these big dealerships totally ruin your experience with the Bronco. SAS is good and all, but a Badlands overall, even without SAS is a great off-roader. Now, I’ll be honest, being able to get my own 35’ tires would be a good way to go. You can pick up someone’s take offs, or get your own cool wheels and whatever tires you want. Sucks to not roll that into the payment of your Bronco, so it’s not a solution, just an option.

That dealership is like many in hot areas like Colorado or Cali; they know some sap will walk in after you, steal your rig, and they’re off into the sunset.

Losing price protection sucks, but it looks like only a couple grand, so not terrible. PP for me was close to $4K; go figure??!!

Think you should get it, join the club, then go out and run some trails and fall in love with your Bronco as I did along with many others here encouraging you to get YOUR truck. :) Post some pics on here when you do so we can come back and admire.

Cheers to you, whatever you decide. 🍻

Check your numbers. PP is about $11,000, slightly less when you take off SAS and bumper.

Bad enough they hosed you with the missing SAS but no PP, I’d be livid. I would go over the salesman’s head.

I’d go in and tell them how sad you are about losing the SAS, but tell them that the price protection should be of no cost to them as ford sends the check and they should at least honor that. If they won’t budge… tell them to eat petrified dog turds and don’t give them any business.

And if you DO buy it… give them terrible terrible ratings on the ford survey… those dealers thrive on that crap, haha.

I know it’s your opinion, but it’s wrong.
just wanted to throw that out there
And that's your opinion and maybe it's wrong. ;) There have been many reports of the dealer messing up or changing the order without customer approval and/or the customer also not verifying the order and getting a DORA to do so.

Except the 22/23 my changeover ford specifically dropped squatch

granted I only ordered 5 from 4 dealerships across the us, bought two and abandoned 3 of them so my experience may be just conjecture

Since you ordered a Badlands, you’re not missing much from the Sasquatch—you still have all the lockers and even a sway bar disco. Take the truck, slap some 35s on it and call it a day.
that’s a better option than a beat or overpriced used Bronco, IMO.
Exactly my thoughts. Yes you are right, they are wrong, customer service is getting worse not better overall. But he's right, the difference between a Badlands and a Badlands Sasq is minimum. I know I got a stripped Badlands and did my own Sasquatch for a fraction of the price. Now to be fair, the difference in price is smaller on yours than mine since I got a stripped manual 2 door, but still, take that extra money, find some nice rims and tires, sell your old rims and tires ( I did, after I bought someone's Sasq pull-offs) and throw a 2" level lift on it and it looks better than a factory Sasq. You'd have basically what you want, for maybe a hair less money and it's custom to you. Just my take.

It doesn't have a beefier steering rack, only the Raptor and WildTrak HOSS 3.0 have the beefier rack. The Badlands does not get the Fox shocks either. Finally, the Badlands non-sasquatch has more articulation than a sasquatch package Badlands.
I stand corrected.

maybe @Ford Motor Company can help with the price protection, after you DM them with your VIN and dealer. ;)
DOG, As of Friday afternoon FoMoCo had opened a level 2 inquiry( whatever that means) I am supposed to have a "interview" phone call on Monday.
Full of doubt about that happening.

Most likely was not the dealership. There are countless people from back then that had their Sasquatch package automatically removed when rolling over to a 2023. When you went in and redid your order for 2023, should have checked the DORA to be sure it was correct before signing. Not much you can do now and there is nothing that Ford will do since it's not really their fault.

What you could do is take the Bronco, provided the dealer gives you all of your price protection, and then reorder and trade it in when the new one gets here. Probably close to $10k off in PP would help offset the new one provided the old one holds its value.
I agree, but I had the same shock with changes to my order when it finally showed up. LACK of communication! Ford or dealers fault no matter. wasn't what he was expecting so I understand the frustration. I got my SAS, but, bumper was not modular and LUX instead of High. not bad and easy to deal with. just a little let down when it was my first vehicle I have ever ordered. was a fun 4 months and 11k miles of ownership while I had it. sigh........ still fun rig

OP, I say get it and rally that beast. I had a NON SAS at Moab rodeo and still had fun and did everything the group did.

Dealers are pretty sheisty. I bet they changed your order so they could be alotted an order and make a sale. I wouldnt trust a dealer as far as I could throw them. However, you should get the price of a non sas. IMO, you got the better of SAS or non SAS. SAS is not that great anyways. You can make it what you want yourself. I purposely ordered non SAS because I didn't want what they were giving for that price. I have a badlands non SAS and the only difference from mine is a spacer on the suspension and mediocre tires, which I would not want anyways. You will do better by buying your own stuff to make it your own. You will be much happier if you are actually going to off-road.

I feel so sorry for the op. Having been in the same position and waiting almost 3 years, I’m so glad I went with @Granger Ford for my order. So many scumbag dealerships out there. Granger kept their word and I got exactly what I ordered and they kept their word on pricing. I wish the op best of luck in navigating this terrible customer service.

I don't know if it was mentioned yet but in the last conversion window, some of vehicles had SAS dropped when it was rolled over in WBDO. This was an issue on Ford's end and if not for seeing here and telling our sales people about it, could've caused issues here as well. Not saying dealer shouldn't have caught it but when the conversion happened, they were supposed to get your drivers license and signed buyers order to satisfy COVP. At this point you should've been given an updated copy of the DORA that would've shown the SAS package was not on there anymore. It could've been corrected up to the point when the conversion window closed. It's also possible the dealer knew they weren't going to get any more SAS orders through and decided to take if off the OP's order to get some other orders through since there was a commodity crunch on SAS.

My personal belief is that people aren't malicious and give them the benefit of doubt in this case and think it boils down to they missed the drop when it rolled. No one caught it and the order finally got picked up, built and delivered. While I understand the frustration about not getting what what ordered, my opinion, having both versions of BL, the non-SAS is as capable as one with SAS. Yes, you're giving up some gearing and wheels and tires but the suspensions are nearly identical. Unless you're going to be doing a bunch of off-roading, you're not going to miss the gearing. IMO, get some SAS takeoffs, BFG KO2s and you'll be content with that setup.

Other members also had a good idea with taking the vehicle and putting in another order for what you want but you may find the non-SAS BL satisfactory. I'm partial and feel like the BL has the best balance between options and off-road capability.

How to find out if we have pass points? My dealer mentioned something about it, I have to sign up for some online thing, I forget what exactly she said. I'd rather not sign up or connect anything to my Bronco, but will if it means I get points.
I think you have 90 days to activate your modem or the points disappear. Don't know if you have a FP account but if you reserved a bronco may moon ago I think it required one to tie the reservation to. If you have a FP account, DM me the email you use and I check to see if you have any points. If your modem isn't activated, my guess is there aren't any points on it unless you've done retail service work at a dealer.
