I hope this helps…. My buddy and I ordered our Bronco at almost the same time. He’s ordered a black diamond non sas and I ordered a OBX Sas. They showed up within a couple weeks of one another. When we got together he was like “damn I wish I had ordered the sas. I was thinking he was crazy for not. Now fast forward 6 months and he has upgraded the wheels and tires to his personal taste and now I’m thinking “damn I wish I didn’t order sas”. His looks great and custom where mine looks like every other sas on the road.

I waited 3 years for a bronco to show up thats configured like darn near every unsold bronco on a car lot.
What on Earth are you even talking about?

Also, are you really going to off-road your Bronco to the point you would even notice the tiny difference between a SAS BL and non-SAS BL?

IMO, the company/factory would not do this. My guess, your DEALER did. Why? Who knows. Maybe they re-did the paperwork and screwed up. Maybe they did it to get your Bronco here sooner so they could generate revenue.
I know it’s your opinion, but it’s wrong.
just wanted to throw that out there

Like other have said you are not missing much without the Sasquach pkg. I have a 21 badlands non sas and love it. you actually have more articulation with the non sas BL that you would with the SAS.
Technically that’s not true, you’re missing the bead lock capable wheels, wider fender flares, 35” tires, beefed up steering rack and tie rod ends, and Fox shocks in place of the Bilstein units. I’d hardly call that not missing much.

Ill make this short.
I know im not the first either
3 years ago I ordered a 4 door Bronco badlands with hard top, sasquatch package , modular bumper midd package, 2.7 L engine, 10spd trans, eruption green, and marine grade interior. nothing over the top.
Obviously the order had a lot of "constraints" to it.
so it finally shows up at the dealership but it is without the sasquatch package.
ordered what I wanted and for the price of these Broncos and time waiting I want what I ordered.
the dealerships salesman had absolutely zero s**ts to give about it. He told me to take it or leave it, they'll sell it fast. he said it wasn't his fault or problem. He told me he had 3 others going in exactly spec'd like mine was supposed to be but those were already spoken for. He would not communicate with FoMoCo he would not speak with any higher ups at Phil Long Ford.
he would not negotiate anything.
he did say i could order another on after August 14th.
I was / am furious
I waited 3 years for a bronco to show up thats configured like darn near every unsold bronco on a car lot.
So I called FoMoCo customer support and lodged a complaint about it. I figured nothing would happen but got to b**ch to someone about it.
I did learn calling and having the vin# for my build was very helpful. the reps research revealed that
"my Bronco" build was in fact changed to remove the sasquatch package to ensure a build on 9/9/22.
the rep said it could have been the dealership.
regardless the Bronco was built to match the modified build order.
As of 4:43pm 7/21/23 Colorado time a level 2 inquiry has been opened for my complaint.
I was advised to seek out a different dealership.
I doubt anything will come of it.
does anyone have any insight on this kind of situation?
or am I just starting over, buying used( beat), or looking at another brand?
Same thing happened to me. I noticed on the window sticker that precluded delivery that the sasquatch pkg wasn't on there. I brought it up to the dealer and initially they said it was Ford's fault.. However when I pressed him, he admitted they left it off. They told me I could refuse it and order another one. It took 22 months for this one, so I'll be installing myself. May be a blessing in disguise, I now have more options.

Exactly. Here we have my two door non Sasquatch BL next to a four door BL with Sasquatch . Barely noticeable height difference.

PXL_20220827_132206011.jpeg
Don’t mean to hijack the thread but does a Sasquatch BL sit taller than say a BB Sasquatch? I figured Sasquatch was Sasquatch and negates the slight lift already on a nonSAS BL so all Sasquatch regardless of trim level sit at the same height/clearance.

don't forget the final gear ratios( ring and pinions) are lower/ higher numerically and some other components are spec'd different
It's less than a 5% difference in gearing, it is otherwise nearly identical save the shocks and springs. With the $5k in savings and price protection, it is a no brainer, take it and buy some rims/tires. You can run 35's all day long with 4.46 gears and still have enough money left over for a Pro-Cal and a HOSS 3.0 steering rack.

It's going to cost a lot more to go any other route after factoring in price protection and the cost of the sasquatch package, which is pretty pointless on the Badlands. Also, if you are serious about off-roading it, you're going to end up changing the rims and tires anyway, like most people, as the beadlock kit is overly expensive for what you get and the Goodyear tires suck.

It doesn't have a beefier steering rack, only the Raptor and WildTrak HOSS 3.0 have the beefier rack. The Badlands does not get the Fox shocks either. Finally, the Badlands non-sasquatch has more articulation than a sasquatch package Badlands.

While highly annoying, try to avoid ascribing too much to the "dealer" you spoke to, who was likely a commissioned salesman who may have been selling JetSkis last month and home appliances the month before. Sales is a highly transient industry, with some wonderful people and some awful people. Unfortunately, you have a specialized issue and happened to wind up with an awful salesman, whose lack of interest is because he's not interested in anything.

All that said, as a Badlands owner who chose to drop Squatch for all the reasons listed here, I echo the sentiments of those who suggest you just buy it and enjoy it. Once you commit, you won't really be talking to the salesman that much anyway - he'll turn you over to the F&I person to finalize the paperwork.

As the others have articulated....

"Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli"

As for the Assh@le Salesman, you've got your Ford Customer Satisdaction Survey along with sending some Complaints to Ford CS, Zone Office, BBB, Yelp, Google, etc. to help provide him with more than enough payback.

Plus if you give B6G his contact info, he definitely won't like what this forum can dish out.

As the owner of a '21 Badlands Sasquatch 2.7 Lux, if I was in your situation I would buy the Badlands.
Sasquatch on the '21 Badlands didn't cost as much as the package on the '23. It doesn't add much to the capability. Also, back in '21 there wasn't as much aftermarket support.

Anyway, I would be livid (as I'm sure you are), but when I calmed down I would decide to buy the Badlands. With price protection and points you're way ahead. Then I'd start shopping for the tire and wheel package that I really like.

I’d be frustrated too. Depending on when your order was modified, you may be eligible for the $2500 order modification certificate as well.

I put Wildtrak wheel, tire and flare takeoffs on my non-Sas Badlands without any lift. After I sold my Badlands OEM set, it was only about a $500 total expense. It sits about a half inch lower than the Sasquatch, but has the same overall look and comparable capability minus the gearing.

WOW! There sure are a lot of opinions on here. Also getting perspective from outside the situation is good. Especially from people who actually own a Bronco.
I get the reasoning behind letting go of the i want my sasquatch package mentality and i won't win against a big dealership, but it still really pisses me off to be treated like shit after waiting so long.
Yesterday Found out Phil Long Ford isn't honoring any price protection for me
My original build came in at $56840.00 the price now is $58590.00 without the sasquatch package or the modular bumper.
A Bronco in the holding pen which is 100% like the build I ordered, but say sold on the windshield has a sticker price of $67810.00.
Oh, and every Bronco except 2 had the sasquatch package on it.
ill see what happens tomorrow when i go back....... calm and friendly like

That's not entirely accurate, lol.
