Did you have the soft top version of the JTop? I have the hardtop version and it has zippers to access to handles. I also have no issues getting the panels to lock into place.
Here is the JTops Bimini I have/had before I installed the hardtop. No zippers.

Yes that is the soft top version. They do have the hard top version that provides access to all latches. I do like the look of the soft top version, but as you stated it does not work with the hardtop. I am glad JTops offers a top for all applications. I love the flag, I only have the solid black.

I liked the JTops Bimini. Well made, didn’t flap around in the wind and most of all made riding around in the Florida sun with the top down tolerable. I believe I bought it in late August of 2022. Didn’t remember them having a hardtop version then, but a hardtop wasn’t in my future at that point anyway.

That’s the soft top only version. It’s not designed to have zippers. They are not necessary when running a soft top only Bronco.
We make three versions for a custom fit.

I hadn’t looked at your site in several years until just now. Many new products. Nice. Would it be cost effective to send you my Bimini to modify to fit a hardtop? Or is it even possible?

Thanks. Karl

Love my JTop for the 2dr. Access zipper for the back of the lift out panels and the front of it simply folds back out of the way for the front latches. Learning how to manipulate the turn handles at the rear outside of the front panels takes a few times of removal and installation but is not difficult. Only complaints I have with it are my own fault, I should have ordered black instead of the grey as it would be easier to see through under sunlight and I did not properly align or prep some of the Velcro and it’s peeling up. Will definitely be ordering a new one in the future.

Karl, as much as we would like to help it’s virtually impossible to modify. It’s just to time consuming and our labor cost are very high since we make them here in the USA.
Call me at 469-532-0808 and I can give you a code for a special discount if you want a new one.

Been driving for a couple years without a bimini top, and would like to have one for the shade factor. Anyone have experience with the Bestop offerings ? They say you can leave them on with your hard top in place. Any noise issues created ? They're already loud enough, don't wanna make it worse.
I’ve owned both the safari Bestop and the access Bestop biminis - you can’t really keep it on under the hardtop. First off, there isn’t really a way to take the middle panel on/off easily even with the zippers and the latches for middle row also don't work well with it… the Bimini has to kind of be forced above or below them it’s a PITA. Headroom also feels significantly reduced. The Bestops are high quality and look great but not very functional if u want to take the hardtop on and off. I came to conclusion the alien sunshade is prob best solution/design outside of the j top route which I personally was not a huge fan of.

This is Mike with JTops. Your information on our top is completely wrong. I suggest you do some research before making comments. We even make a version of it that Ford has adopted.

I suggest you lighten up before making silly comments on your company account. It was a joke, clearly. But Bestop Biminis really are better than JTops. One thing JTops does great, though, is flood every single thread about Bimini tops with employee comments.

There are no employee’s comments masquerading as opinions.
We do not solicit or pay for reviews, we never have and never will.
It’s important potential customers get the facts.

Really like my Broncobikini and NO WAY would I put all that velcro on my truck.
