They only were going 78 mph when they performed that PIT. Clearly they are losing their touch. I want 100 mph plus!

Yeah, I even noticed that offset in the rear looked quite wild ;). At least it wasn't donked.

Rain Gear cover for the big rain. I keep it in the Bronco when it is questionable weather. I also have a Jtops and for the small stuff, just keep driving and it keeps a lot of the rain from getting inside.
If you do get caught in the rain, put your sun visors down because the water likes to seep in through the mirror cutout and it will drip for a long time afterwards.

That corvette is vintage 80s before aftermarket wheel manufacturers figured out what offset was. I am still looking for a rain solution because nothing is ever designed for a braptor. Since I run a mesh JTOP, I might just carry their non mesh version since its velcro.

I don't drive without the top down very often, and I check the weather religiously just in case. In SC, we deal with surprise pop-up storms all summer- it could be 0% chance of rain, sunny day, and suddenly it's a torrential downpour with quarter-sized hail. I got caught in a hailstorm on a motorcycle once, zero warning. Plus, people congregate under bridges during bad storms, totally screwing over everyone else stuck on the highway, so speed isn't always an option. After that, I always kept an emergency poncho and ziploc bag (For phone, wallet) on my bikes and in every vehicle.

My advice would be this: Keep a poncho under every seat, ready at a moment's notice. If you are worried about water intrusion in the vehicle, you can buy the bimini top anchors, leave them installed, get some silicone bungees on Amazon, and a small harbor freight tarp. Wrap the bungees through the grommets in a square-knot fashion (loop through grommet, end through loop). Make sure it's sized right- you can buy a grommet die kit at HF too if you need to change positions for anchor points. Put red duct tap over the forward edge as a visual indicator for which side goes to the front of the vehicle. It'll still take a minute to set up and won't protect 100%, but it'll work in an emergency. Just 4 points are all you need- two centered in the front, and two diagonal towards the back- this will keep the tarp from billowing in the front and channeling water into your face. Roll it up with the bungees pointed outward and keep it under the seat.

People pack tools, compressors, jacks, tow ropes, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, radios, etc, but never pack an all weather canopy when they explore with the top off. Bronco covers from South Carolina is the way to go. A trap and bungees at a minimum

What size tarp, fellow Hobo Freight connoisseur?
Without a support post in the rear section the tarp will turn into a pond from a down pour.

Yes and in some states it's illegal* to collect rainwater, so be careful out there!

*Federally legal, but some states have laws that make certain types or methods illegal and other nonsense.
