Just got caught in a torrential downpour about 15 mins from home without any rain in the forecast.

What do you guys do to prevent his? send it? Rain cover?

Not into fishing in the rain?
Not into celibacy?
Not into bestiality?
Not into "visiting" Titanic?
Not into pissing in the wind?

Just happened to me last weekend coming home from Idaho. I had the added disadvantage in that I was running my doughnut doors. So no side windows and a big ol' hole in my door.

If you're close to home or on a schedule - put on your rain gear and keep a rag handy to wipe the inside of the windshield. If you plan on driving topless - you should ALWAYS keep rain gear handy in the vehicle. Else, seek shelter.

If you're traveling cross country and it looks to just be a passing squall - seek shelter. Pull over under an overpass. Gas station. Etc. You can use the weather radar map included with your Nav system on your dash (or use your phone to connect to the weather site of your choice)

If you're far from home and it looks like it's gonna be a all-dayer....nothing you can do but camp for the night somewhere and put your top/tarp/whatever on the rig. Crack open the libation of your choice and chalk it up to the price you pay for that "wind in your hair" experience.

What size tarp, fellow Hobo Freight connoisseur?
I recall it's the 7'x9' tarp size. Using 4 bungie cords to hold it down via the grommets. The tarp just fits down to the outer edges of the Bronco sides. Which is good because I do not want it rubbing against the paint in a storm. On the other hand, in a bad storm where wind could blow water under the tarp, a larger size could be the ticket.

I'm going to start a thread about waving to other Bronco drivers and being sad I don't receive any ducks.
