I just installed my B&M Sport shifter yesterday. Has anyone else experienced it being kinda stiff compared to the stock? Also, when I shift to second and fourth its like a click and I’m in already. Anyone else related?

Have you ever tried a weighted shift knob. First mod I make to any standard.
TWM makes some nice ones... Dunno if they do a Bronco. But it makes shift feel so much nicer

I'd expect it to be a bit stiff compared to stock. Shorter throw means less leverage which means more effort. Archimedes can tell you all about it.

Sounds like mine, working as intended!

It's definitely more of a notchy feel when going through the gears, almost like a gated shifter feeling. The stiffness will loosen up a bit as you use it more.

Gated is exactly the term. The stock was like a ways into first and then a notch and second but with this stick theres no notch i pull back and im already in

Did you perform the last step to adjust the shifter cables?

Mine had a feel similar to what you described even after adjusting the cables. I adjusted them again and it's fine now.

Be careful with those orange clips. They break easily (ask me how I know).

Also, the shifting got stiff on mine after a few thousand miles. I sprayed some Boeshield T9 on the pivot points and it's nice and smooth now.

Has anyone installed this on a 25’ yet? Holley’s website says figment only good up to 24’. But they haven’t changed anything in the stock shifter since then right?
