As of Thursday they had tops headed to powdercoat and were confirming if I wanted side windows or not. (Not) Still waiting on shipping crates but they’re getting close to delivering the first run

It looks like the welder couldn't regulate the temp and temperature control in aluminum welding is critical.

Lol I am hoping they work! I bought them during that sale they just had. Orange to match my Badlands interior. Looing at pics of how the tops go on, there should be no issues.

I spoke to Squirrel about his at the Indiana Bronco Rally and he uses two factory screws and two of his Rockworx screws for the top. He did mention the Rockworx tend to work loose with the vibration on the aluminum.

Believes it to be because the rubber washer pad doesn’t grip into it like it does the plastic. If you do only run the Rockworx make sure to check them frequently to see if they are backing out and loosening.

The top is super nice and has me wanting to upgrade out of my factory hard top asap

Nice to see the square(ish) back in reality. I had this on my list for a while, but I ended up not loving the Raket roof rack which is what this uses. So I went with TOR for OEM rack compatibility.

@BD6G : Thanks for the info. I am looking into a material nonslip to aluminum to use on the top and screws. I do not plan to ever take it off, so I am sure there is something that could be used, and torq the screws down to it. If not, well I will just use the screws they send.

“Powder coater let the new guy use the seem sealer. We corrected this issue already”

I don’t think I need to ask them that, I feel like the answer is pretty obvious nor does it really matter to you.
