Figured out that I have 4 washers that are 1mm less than the rest.

Now I'm trying to figure out how the 6mm nylon packer is supposed to fit onto the m10 bolt.

I am stumped on how to fit the nylon packer onto the bolt. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears!


I could drill it out to 10mm. But the directions do not mention that

I called arb. They were stumped. The necklace said to drill it out.

It was possibly mis packaged



FYI. I hate making phone calls and also hate asking for help. So this was last resort for me!

Broke down and drove into town to buy a ratcheting 15mm wrench.

I would of liked one with an articulating box end. But this will have to do

I will check the directions I got from ARB. They sent me an in color PDF of the install. It was very different than the manual that came with the bumper.

Had to source nylon washers. Drilling the supplied ones were destroying them.

I had to stack two to hit the same thickness.

I picked up a slightly larger but thicker one, but I suspect the bolt would just pull through them and not compress them.


Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the chassis mounts to lay flush. They are 1/2" away from flush right now.

I don't want to torque them down until they lay right.

At a standstill again with the chassis mounts. I cannot get them to flush up against the frame horn. Since there is no washer, the nut pulls through.

It looks like there should be a washer to prevent this. But both sets of instructions do not have it included in this part of the assembly

Spent 45 minutes on hold with arb. I'm guessing they left early for the holiday.

I can't get the bolt to seat into the notch on the chassis mount. It keeps slipping into the bigger slot and pulling through.

Not sure if 5mm is what is binding me up? I don't have enough bolt length to put washers on either side.

Bolt size is supposed to be m10x1.5x110

Looks like 105

10mm. I'm not a bolt scientist. So I had to Google the length. Which is from the bottom of the head to the end of the bolt.


I'm starting to lose confidence that all the parts that were in the box are for a bronco...

Got in the zone last night putting the bumper together.

It was pretty easy with a fee small hiccups.


Firstly, the directions say to install the winch. Then fairlead.
Unfortunately you cannot install the failed after the winch is installed.
Knowing this, I would suggest installing the winch last. As it is in the way for pretty much everything else.


I trimmed the plastic insert with my chop saw. It worked better than I thought it would.
