Loosen the upper intercooler bolts. It will allow you to raise the intercooler enough to get the lower bolts back in. It is tough and slow going. I used a flex head long ratcheting wrench once I had them started.

That is the same set I have... Can't imagine how else it could be reached.

Good idea on loosening the intercooler above.

If you have a moment, would you be able to specify which bolts you mean? A picture or a diagram... Might help future generations of installers.

I'll take a look myself after work.

You're the first I've come across to suggest this. Could be a game changer.

Were you working with the 2.7?

I am currently 600 miles away from our Bronco so I can't help with photos. Ours is a 2.7L. All that I remember is that those two bolts took the majority of the install time. Once I had the bolts lined up I used my finger tips to very slowly get the started in the threads. Once they threads down far enough to get a wrench on it was easy from that point on. Going from memory, the upper I/C bolts are near the base of the radiator.

Right. I have the upper IC bolts out. It's returning them inside the bracket, with a packer washer underneath in that space I'm having trouble with...

Now in questioning if we're talking about the same books. It sounds as though you had a way to free up space a little more? Or perhaps I'm mistaken?

We are talking about the same bolts. I did have another person write asking the same questions. He ended up cutting the two lower bolts slightly shorter in order to get them back in. I wonder if Ford changed the bolt length at some point?

Good looking Bronco! Curious if you notice anything from the extra weight up front?
I don't have the ARB but my front has a fairly heavy steel bumper and full steel skids. The front now sags a LOT more than it did after about a year of use. I can't make up a number, but it's bad enough it's time for new shocks/springs/something. It's very noticeable over time. Wear and tear I guess.

My SAS Badlands dropped 3/4" in the front with exact same bumper/winch setup. Though I installed Diode Dynamics fogs.

Same here. I even stopped short of installing the winch...
I feel the badlands suspension is so stiff that it might actually help counter it a little, but it def lost some height with the bumper.

Did you do anything for the rear bumper? Somehow ones that encorperate a license plate are rare.
