I have an odd question about your mount. I want to mount a bypass oil filter in the area where the air compressor is designed to fit with your mount. If I use the single brushless air compressor with your mount, do you think I would still have room for the bypass oil filter in that area?
Couldn't tell you. I don't run those nor do I honestly think they do anything. Ford designed the truck to work. No reason you need to install extra bypass filters/catch cans. With that said... I mean it all depends on the size. you could always mount it under it but im not sure how big it is/etc...

For my $$ these novelty items like catch cans & cold air intakes are a waste of $$. They offer no performance gains or add any life to your engine.

Well, I will have to take a look at someone's setup that has the single air compressor to see if I can make it work.

Bypass oil filters do not add any performance to the engine but my experience with them shows they are great for extending the life of an engine. They filter out much smaller particles than the standard oil filter does alone. I have over 300K miles on my other off-road vehicle and I run 15k oil change intervals. That engine runs like new and uses no more oil than it did new or any time in its life.

I think the turbo bearings in my Bronco will thank me very much for using the bypass oil filter when I get it installed. I understand the bearings tend to be the week link in turbos but this is the first turbo charged engine for me. So, I will just have to find out.

I agree with you on the other stuff.

Are we also going to get into recovery boards speaking of a waste...

Those are actually useful IF you offroad. If you never go offroading, yeah just eye candy.

But they are a life safer if you drive on the beach. I had to use my own set last year to get a stuck truck out of the sand. He was burried up. A little digging, throw the traction board under there BOOM, he's out. I've never had to use them on my own truck but they work great. They can also act as a jack board on the beach.

I found this thread: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/arb-single-compressor-install-video-helpful-hints.71700/

which details the install of the BRUSHED compressor SINGLE, but i bought the BRUSHLESS compressor... I have the dual BRUSHED compressor in my van, so I have a little comparison between the two...

I wanted to post a few points on the install of the BRUSHLESS (because of some form factor differences between the brushed and brushless single compressor) that are a little different than the BRUSHED compressor.

1. I went with the single compressor not because it was a little cheaper but because I figured I didn't need the faster fill rate but rather wanted to be more economical with space inside the engine bay. Wrong. The mount basically occupies the space whether it's Double or Single. So don't let that bug you much. Trivial point my dual brushed compressor SOUNDS much better than the single brushless. The single brushless sounds strained and high pitch, but works fine.

2. The install is pretty straightforward. I loosened that inside shock mount bolt quite a bit and it was pretty easy to slip the medial bracket underneath there with it that loose(but not too lose). Torqued it up to spec with torque wrench (if you don't have one of these and have bikes or cars you work on, get them. I have a small 0-20lb/ft and a large 10-90lb/ft torque wrenches.)

3. The only way I could get the configuration of the compressor to fit is fully on its side in this configuration.

4. I got a little lucky because you need to mount the ARB bracket to the KR off road bracket first without really knowing how the compressor will fit in there. If you mount the ARB bracket too far to the side of the passenger wall, then the pressure control port will hit the KR bracket on the engine side and you can't rotate the compressor "sideways" enough. But if you mount it TOO far to the engine side then it seems it gets in the way with the wiring harnesses near the engine. I would say favor mounting the ARB bracket somewhat but not all the way to the engine side of the KR mount.

5. I ran the wiring harness and + power along the firewall and had JUST enough positive wire to reach the battery... ( not my cleanest wiring job in the world but it works).

6. My dog really laid down on the job on this install..."can you pass the wrench..."[no response from dog]

I chose the ARB Single for the same reason as you, OP. I didn't have the placement issues that OP describes, I bolted the unit directly onto the KR/4x4LED bracket, and there was plenty of room. Perhaps OP didn't fully complete the pump rotating that the installation guide suggests.

I also wired to the AUX switch, don't know if OP has one. The main issue with installing the Single vs the Twin is that the wiring is more complicated with the Single . . . The harness is a simpler install, plug-n-play with the Twin. Of course, I don't know if wiring is different with the new "Brushless" models. My ARB single has been in for nearly 3 years, no issues at all with my 33" tires.

When I installed my pump, I also installed a set of MRT hood struts for ease of use.

Do you have any pictures of how you wired to the aux switch? I watched some videos of installs, but they all seem to have a different harness than what i was shipped, maybe it changed with the introduction of the brushless version. I want to wire to AUX 6, but not sure which of these wires off the harness I would connect to. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Yes, there is some guidance, saying to use the red wire. But then at the bottom it says if it is the single compressor, which mine is, that you are to consult the manufacturers instructions, which i posted above in my previous post. Just looking for a little guidance. Thank you.

You'll follow the same instructions as the Twin Brushless.

Single and Twin Brushless are the same
OG Twin uses a purple wire
OG Single uses a completely different setup

I'll try get a photo tomorrow, I understand that since there is a relay and/or solenoid, the full current is not passing through the switch, so it doesn't matter which upfitter switch with regard to wire size, I used so I picked #1. I tried to understand the wiring instructions and the use of the relay etc, and while I've done alot of boat wiring, this was too complicated for me. I installed the pump and bracket myself, and then took it down to 4Wheel Parts and paid them an hour (1.5) shop time to do it for me. I know my limits. This is an upgrade I'm really glad I did.

As someone who spent a couple of hours on experiments with ARB wiring diagram and 4x4TruckLEDs' instruction which is simple says "go figure with the vendor" I have to admit that both did a pretty good job of puzzling single brushless compressor owners.

I still need to find time to put together the final diagram I ended up with. For now, you need only the first, longest, harness. Then connect +(thick red-white wire + fuse), ground (thick black-white wire), and connect the thin red wire at the end of the harness marked as "isolation switch" to whichever AUX switch wire you want.

If you are using the ARB switch alone or in series with you AUX switch (like in my setup), you need to run the thin red wire through the pins 3 and connect its pin 2 to +12V or to your favorite AUX switch.

Of course, don't forget to install the pressure switch and connect it as well, see the original diagram on arb site https://store.arbusa.com/content/CKBLA12 INST.pdf

The rest of the wires on the harness can be safely removed or taped off.

(edit: grammar fixes)
