Is anyone or any company making a backup camera washer?

The camera is not usable in rain and snow at all. I tried plastic rainX, but it didn’t help much. it would be nice if we have a rear camera washer. I think it must be trivial to fit a hose through the spare and mount a nozzle on a bracket to point at the camera. Given that we already have a washer hose for the rear window, it should straightforward to split it and route a hose out of the tailgate. Even better, the hose is not used at all on models with soft top.

IF you have the hard top prep kit, which my Bronco did not include due to early build date 😭

I agree it does tend to get covered up with road grime in the snow, I've never had any problems when it was raining though.

the backup camera getting "dirty" is always going ot happen. Happens to every vehicle I've owned or driven that had one when it rains etc. Not much you can do about while driving, and spraying it isn't gonna do any good. Just walk behind it and wipe it with your finger when you see it's dirty.

I finger my camera as well. Works like a charm.

I agree that a spray nozzle would be pretty handy though. I wish the headlights had them too - Especially when they have ice/snow on them and the lack of heat given off by LED.

I have a good one. Towel in hand, wipe, repeat if needed. Bigger towel more wipes.

I finger mine all the time as well, however, I have to admit, it does feel a little... idk.... dirty. :)

Funny responses here. I do think it is sad my 2020 Bronco Sport had a rear camera washer built in, but my 2022 $89k stickered (yes that's how bad dealers were screwing us) Bronco WT doesn’t have that feature.

Bringing this thread back to life as someone does make a kit for this. I installed mine yesterday. Not a bad install I varied from the directions to hide the hose better since my rims allowed me to. Yes my rims are beat to crap from rocks yes my bronco is filthy it’s the wife’s daily and her work parking lot is a mud pit

Runs? I assumed autocorrect for "rims" but you said it multiple times so maybe the run of the wiring?

Damn it yes rims. The factory rims look like the center bore is too small to run it this way.

For those who complain about a sprayer for the rear camera not being useful...you're absolutely wrong. My wife's Expedition has one and it's AMAZING.

Now, sure, it isn't much help in the rain, I'll give you that. But when the camera gets covered with road dirt/grime/salt/mud, that little squirt (which activates every time the rear window sprayer is activated) does a great job knocking the worst of it off, if not all of it, to give you a nice, clear view.

Do I primarily use my mirrors? Yes. But when you're trying to get close to something, that camera is a godsend - you don't have to worry about hitting anything, and you don't have to get in and out to get to the spot you want.

Do you know if these are still made? Tried finding this site but can’t find it. Wondering if it has changed or did the person just stop? Any help would be great. Thanks
