Alarm Goes Off Randomly after 20 sec. Help

My issue is not the hood though. I think there is a fox for the hood issue.

I am having the same issue with my '22 BD. After locking and setting alarm (2 clicks of lock button on fob), my alarm will randomly go off after approximately 20 seconds. At first I thought it was the emergency button on the key fob, so I fixed that by filing down the back side of the button and made sure that it no longer works. But I'm still having the same issue. I guess will have to look into the hood latch next.

Do you have the perimeter alarm installed too? That’s what I have and have a feeling that it’s triggered somehow.

I'm not sure, but if I do, I know there is no one around the vehicle when it happens.

The perimeter alarm is not really a perimeter sensor, It’s a sensor that will go off if shock motion is detected like bumping the vehicle. I’m thinking the alarm is being triggered by something after 20 seconds like shutting down part of the electrical system or something. I’m first trying to determine a common denominator like having the perimeter alarm installed, not just the regular alarm.

Have you done any wiring to your Bronco recently? If not, I'd try disconnecting the sensor and see what happens. That's assuming the sensor isn't built into the alarm.
