It's very random. Some say it's a faulty hood latch, but I don't buy that. If that were the case, you would think the dash would intermittently light up with "hood open".

I'm definitely in agreement with the double honk when you get out and close the door with the engine running. Super annoying! 2nd annoying thing would be the car alarm randomly going off after locking the vehicle. Other than that, I'm very happy with my Bronco.
