Surveillance video captures massive cargo ship explosion

A Taiwanese-owned cargo ship caught fire and exploded at a busy port in Zhejiang Province, China, according to reporting from Reuters
Damn man, that was inspired...

"Show me the bill of lading or it didn't happen!" "But it went up in the 'splosion!" "Tough titty said the kitty!"

I highly doubt that credit card companies can/will go back this many months. While I’m not certain, I think anything longer than a 90 day challenge on an account is tough sledding. I haven’t read my T&C is a few moons, but trying to get month back 26 months later seems like a pipe dream.
Especially for $7,000. If it was a couple hundred, they might credit it just as good will. You would have to be a he!! of a customer for them to eat $7K

I missed that, was it one of those "Reply in this thread with "Send it" for your discount code!!!" things?
I think @j_marinelli posted a hyperlink a few pages back that takes you straight there. Don’t even need to enter a code

I was part of the Focus ST world before. How come I don't remember this? Lol

That's a good question. We went and rescued a fiesta and a focus from up north. The focus ST we re did with the help of the community and gave it back to the customer at FocusFest. He had no idea what everyone did or that he would be taking it home that weekend.

That's bad ass! I honestly do not remember this! Lol I was mostly part of California ST, Focus RS/ST Club and a few others. I remember a few dramas with companies that stopped producing parts like Anarchy Motive just to name one lol But I do not remember whole vehicles gone!

A company like ADV is responsible for every part of their business - having proper suppliers, having a website and a building, making sure an employee doesn't embezzle...it's all theirs. If their building burned down, their chief engineer left, a sub contractor (builder) doesn't come through....it's THEIR fault. And their responsiblity to refund anyone who paid for a product they didn't produce.

This will have to go to court, and mark my words, ADV will go bankrupt and be gone as a company.

The tried to pull the modern Ponzi Scheme scam of making hopeful customers finance all this.

The whole BAMF thing with buying the bumpers from the company that just disappeared and trying to fulfill orders last year is similar. I think most people are trying to do the right thing. The off road community is pretty tight, as Big Rich says, it's still like a family, unlike NASCAR, say.

I'll give a similar anecdote my old boss told me years ago, as a warning. He had a buddy who ran a printing company here in North Texas that made all the cups, wraps etc. for a large regional fast food chain. After a couple decades of making a ton of money, he decided to sell it and other businesses and invest instead of running businesses, so he could enjoy life.

This rich guy shows up and buys the company; he says he wants a company for his son to run, whose graduating MBA from some silk tie university. Profitable company, doing well, contracts going into the future. They just had to run it and retain the staff who knew how to do that.

Fast forward a few years and a contact at the fast food company contacts him and says, hey, your old company is up for sale. If you buy it and run it, we'll make sure you get the contracts.

He's like, what's going on. So he starts looking into it and realizes this guy's son has fired everyone, changed things that didn't need changing, and basically run it into the ground. Not because he meant to, but because he didn't know better. It's now losing money and his father is done with it.

So the guy buys it back and within six months has it profitable again.

Maybe not a parallel but sometimes you don't know what you don't know and the world is eager to show you.
What was the bamf story???

Ok I do remember DHM! Yea I had completely forgot about that whole fiasco.

I got lucky with Anarchy Motive. I placed one order and changed it before it was produced. My original order arrived and when I reached out, my modified order arrived so I got two knobs. Sold one with the car, still have the other one and use it as a hefty paper weight.
