That is semi promising news.

At this point it has to be a parts issue and they are waiting on that otherwise they would have shipped a few by now right? I’m as basic as you can get, no wiper, one piece with the headliner which I’d gladly drop. Can’t imagine they would delay over headliner though. If it’s still manufacturing at this point we are in trouble.

Hope this happens because my countdown has started. 34 days and counting till I have to jump ship.

Looks like we have the same countdown going on. Hopefully other's have the same time frame in mind too...

I agree with the headliner piece too. If that was an issue, I'd drop it too. My gut tells me that's not the issue though.

After 72 pages of comments, I hope everyone gets together and asks for a refund asap. Then ADV has to get a loan and start paying interest. Things will move a lot quicker. Everyone that has given them a interest free 6k loan for 1-2 years and has been way too nice. Not sure how many of ordered but guessing 500k+ in free loan money for 1-2 years to develop a fiberglass top that you just have to improve upon the OEM version.

On Aug. 2, they told me my order (which was only made in March) would be ready in "late September, into October", so technically that's the window right now. If I haven't heard anything by the end of October I'll ping them again.

Based on previous comments about December deliveries, it sounds like there's zero chance. But who knows?

You are doing great . Most of us are past 18 mos and counting.
I believe you are one of the newest orders with a potential shipping date.
I hope it works out for you and all of us.
From what I see posted, the early orders look like late October shipping wise.

Hope we all get good news, this is the closest. To a potential shipping date without getting crushed by yet another delay

One thing they haven’t improved upon over the MIC: the MIC exists in reality. I’d never claim the MIC is a great design. But we’re clearly learning that making an improved alternative isn’t as easy as all the sh*t talkers thought 2 years ago.

They can produce one or two no problem to give to Mitch to make a video on how great it is...but they can't make anymore. Funny how pre orders make everyone give up money for years then everyone will get one within months even the non pre orders.

Well how else was Mitch supposed to post a video of an OEM hardtop being surfed on and driven over to increase YouTube "likes"?! Come on man... "Influencer 101!"

Crazy how they're currently using "influencers" to market a product they can't deliver. Crazy that influencers are receiving tops (probably at a discount) and paying customers are not.

Really, none of this makes sense.

We would not have to worry about this if Ford made a top the right way. Period.

Regarding the supplier issues they are using as an excuse, that’s all about ADV’s lack of project management. If their supplier causes a delay, you don’t just “take it”. I assume they signed some sort of PO with terms with their suppliers, and if they don’t meet the terms then ADV should be on them asking for damages. ADV is not managing their suppliers. If I was the owner of ADV I’d be on a plane to their suppliers shop finding out what exactly is going on and making demands. Yes, it sounds easier than it is, but it’s still management 101 that ADV is not doing.

Why aren't those "influencers" they gave tops to posting tons of content spouting the awesomeness of the ADV top?
Isn't that why you give your product to people, so they will flood the internet with content promoting your product?

Hey @ADV Fiberglass , get my top to me and I'll post a video about it every week

Exactly. Believe it was close to a year ago I said if it was my company I'd have been on a plane to china to see what the holdup was with the rubber gasket was and if it was another part it would be the same thing.

Apparently there are bigger issues if it's not suppliers and not one video can be put out from the guys that already have them to show the top in a positive light. Or maybe not because they are so one top of it they have time for this....

Honestly anybody that knows anything about manufacturing knows it isn't easy. Its amazing how you give someone a sofa and a keyboard and they become an expert in engineering and manufacturing.

Exactly... I'll remain patient and wait for a great hard top.
