I’ve been interested in ADV products for a while now, but since I'm in Canada, I'm not very familiar with what's happening with the company. Can someone provide me with a summary of their current situation? I'm trying to understand what's going on.
They took $7k from a TON of people promising to deliver them a hard top. Then dragged people out 6 months, 1 year, 2 years. Then told everyone they couldn't deliver, citing fraud from their supplier. Then screwed everyone (many) out of their money. All while spending millions to buy new equipment for their venture.

Stay away.

I ordered a Bronco hard top from them in August of 2023. They sent multiple updates over the course of the year indicating that the top was in production and on schedule for July - August of 2024. We finally received an email from ‘John’ in August of this year with a video stating that they had failed to take delivery from a third party named APG and basically blamed failed delivery on the third party. I could have the name wrong. In the email they said they filed suit against the third party and that we’re basically out of luck with respect to a refund. We spent close to $6500 for the top plus $1000 delivery fee. We called and emailed several times and they never respond. We’re basically screwed out of $7,500 and they are still in business as I’m sure many others are as well. I would love to take part in a class action lawsuit against this company. They are basically blaming their failure to deliver on a third party. I didn’t pay the third party…I paid ADV and they refuse to refund. Stay away!

And this isn't their first time doing it either. They just play the shell game, shutting the business down and starting up a new one. Doesn't change the management team or the people behind the curtain.

apparently APG got paid about it 4.4m from ADV too or so then APG is also at fault. Both screwed people out of money. I was lucky enough to get my money back before this all went down.

I’d stay away from both companies.

You pay ADV.

They make you wait over a year.

They apologize several times throughout said year, building confidence in Canadians like you and I.

They take your money and don’t send you a hardtop.

Thats the TL;DR version. Thankfully I got out ahead of time and got my money back, but many others didn’t.

You forgot the last step

You close shop and start a new company at a different location like nothing happen

Yikes, I must have missed that. Not surprising though…

The other step I missed is purchasing a @Turn Offroad hardtop instead. Great product, amazing customer service, and they also ship to Canada. Definitely worth checking out if you’re interested in a hardtop.
And cheaper. Starting at $4500 over 5750 from A Disgusting Venture and Atrocious Price Gougers 😂😂 not bad fake acronyms for the top of my head.

Ironically shipping from TOR was cheaper to Canada too (directly to my doorstep).

ADV’s quote was more expensive to ship “nothing,” which is odd 🤔

316 pages, one Bronco and one Wrangler later, and my morbid curiosity still brings me back wanting to know what’s become of the tester tops the mysteriously mute influencers received prior to this circus. I know TCCustoms traded his Badlands in with it still installed, but that’s one of at least 3-4 right?

I wouldn’t say it’s mysterious. They got their hard tops, did what they were supposed to do. Now the hard top are MIA so they no longer publicly rep them and moved on. It’s just business.
