APG's statement and reply
Holy hell Batman, TLDR.

But let's just say that APG was always the manufacturer and ADV always just a distributor. You mean to tell me that 2-3 years later, you (APG) as this awesome company (I guess that's how you think you are), can't even manufacture a hard top? When (3) other companies already have, (4) if you add in Armadillo. And ADV has been on this site promoting since day 1, why didn't you guys post up and say "Hold on, that's OUR top"? Also, go look at the post you deleted, didn't that say it was a partnership with ADV? (Sorry I don't recall what it actually stated, along those lines though).

I guess what I'm trying to say is, no matter how you slice this, I'd imagine most people will be hesitant to do business with either of you guys. Both are seeming rather shady at this point.

I agree and now that the word is out and people see how APG does business maybe they should think twice before doing any business with them.

Both companies have made grave decisions with this shit show and they both should pay for those shady business practices.

OOf! That is a hell of a rebuttal. Also, this comes into play as to why was ADV still taking orders when they had to file that doc against APG for the tops. In forum members' words, orders were placed just days before this was released. Also in ADV's own documents, it clearly states that APG owns the rights to the tops. So why is ADV saying they stole the patent and did it behind their backs?

The plot thickens.........

ADV knows. ADV is a scam. What a surprise. But to answer part of the question, does APG receive any deposit from ADV?

So, John turned over the money, the manufacturing, and production to George at APG without filing a patent?

George tweaked the design, be it aesthetic, structural, or final-assembly, filed a patent, barring John from attempting to manufacture the top?

The letter reads as if John knew he was being duped for quite some time, yet continued advertising and accepting pre-orders. Patent filed, no money to be made, so now no refunds are available.

Waiting for the second side of this story from George...

He had no choice but to continue taking orders to be able to refund older orders that were being cancelled. Take from Peter to pay Paul. He basically did to his customers what APG did to ADV.
