The width cutoff on the +55 offset OEM wheels is around 11" to avoid rubbing. Chris might not experience the rub with his lift and 11.5" width. But the test of rub at full inflation driving on pavement isn't the test, but rather air down and articulating off road. Also, while tires are manufactured to a ratio, they often aren't true to the stated ratio.
A great summary - thanks!

I'm also running Toyo 35x11.5 with mud flaps, but I don't have spacers, I have aftermarket rims with 25 offset. No rub.

Update, Actually just found MT has Baja Boss AT at 255/85/17 @ 34.6" tall 10.8" wide, but says it is only approved for 8"wheel. I think stock SAS wheels are 8.5? Can anyone confirm?
Yeah the SAS rims are 17x8.5”. I have been running the 255/85-17 MT Baja boss on my JKU mounted on AEV Salts that are 17-x8.5” for 3 years now with a single issue. Funny thing is though that I bought my tires from Quadratec and their spec section list 8.5 max width for them where MT’s website lists 8” max width. I like those tires that I was looking at getting them for the wife’s Wildtrak as they pick up less rocks than the stock SAS tires as we live on a dirt road.
