When I haul things in the back with the rear seats down I’d like to hook tie down straps into rings so I can keep stuff from shifting around. Are there any mount points behind the front seats for such a purpose?

No, there are no factory mount points behind the front seats. I pulled my rear seats and made a platform like the one above and put several d-rings on it.

There are the 3 car seat mounting points on each seat, headrest posts, and, of course, the hardtop bolts. I add soft tie down loops to each one for easier access.

A little confusing, your title says front seats, but your post says rear seats. As far as the rear yes there are four tie-down points in the rear cargo area. You can see them in the post above.

thanks, fixed. I’m looking to hold things down on top of the folded down rear seats. I’m aware of the cargo area rings.

thanks that provides some options but not what I was hoping for.

I had a large box on top of the folded down rear seats last weekend and didn’t have a way to keep it from shifting.

I also put a large cooler there on occasion and use the headrest as a tiedown point to keep it from shifting but it doesn’t work well.

Yeah…I agree. Not ideal. Have you considered cargo nets? More coverage and tie down options/angles. Gladiator makes some really nice ones.

Maybe you could slip something like this D-ring under the rear bolts of the front seat mounts. I haven't looked under there to confirm.
