All of this really adds up to a massive disappointment for me, as we no longer have our 2 door BL and I have been searching for a Job 1 2 door HE to replace it with, specifically to get the added functionality of actually opening up the rear of the vehicle, which we'd always intended to do with our original intent to get the MOD top from the very beginning. The gunners hatch and the removal rear glass on the 2 door HE MOD top were spectacular, and I thought really key to making the 2 door work for a family of 3 - particularly without any rear air vents at all.
Yeah, while technically taking of the back shell isn't "difficult", it's time consuming with 3 front panels, bolts, etc.....especially if there's rain in the week ahead forecast, I'm not going to go through the effort of removing it all.....popping out the back windows allows for better airflow back there.

So looking at the pdf that was attached to post 1, am I seeing that you can't get an OBX in Velocity Blue or the new red? Or am I just missing something?
Yeah, I noticed that - as one that wants a blue vehicle, that would eliminate OBX for me.

Some of these changes seem terrible and make no sense. Odd to see the heritage limited go away. Also some strange changes on the interior options.
Heritage Limited was announced to be a limited run (I believe of 1,966) from debut......

Am I the only one that was driven to the Wildtrak because of interior color preferences?
No. I liked the other things that came with it too, but I also liked the tan/black interior.

Who the hell even knows anymore with these trims. It's getting to be as bad as Wranglers.

This feature is only available with those paints and this dashboard color, but THAT feature is available with THESE paints but only 4 door despite having nothing to do with doors...

---

It's really like Ford doesn't want repeat business. You build your perfect Bronco, then if anything happens to it, you can't order another one because they no longer offer that trim/feature combination. So do you settle for a `close enough` compromise, or look elsewhere?

Iconic Silver has been the worse selling color since day one.
Now I can sell my '24 Badlands as "RARE COLOR!" +$5000.
I'm ambivalent about a lot of these changes. Foxes on Badlands is cool but it's unfortunate they're locked behind the Sasquatch package that's a bit of a waste on a Badlands anyway.
Not a great day for 2-doors but that Stroppe does look slick. Not sure if it's fitting to replace the Wildtrak with it, but the line would be crowded with all the adds.

Who else knew Everglades was dying when they put those winches on sale?

Whoa ... screeeech ...... Totally missed that AND 43U / 43V are 2d and 4d HT's. Looks like those bags only shows up in the Badlands (and Stroope 2d) as a dealer installed option. We know only the 2d has the port hole... but what does this mean for the 4d? Is the 4d MOD HT still alive but now only on the Badlands?
I still have super low expectations that this will pan out to being able to get the 4d MOD HT. BUT... now there is still hope. Looks like it is not in the cards for the HE (which imo it should).

Nice catch btw. Some one gets extra credit on their homework.

EDIT - It does call out 2Door specifically. 43U / 43V is just painted black or other. Ugh.. My bad. Can you tell I wanted the MOD HT. Guess dreams of 4 door MOD HT are still gone. Still a nice catch though.
Depends what your definition of modular is. The "modular" hardtop was first on the HE's, had removable side windows for both 2&4 doors and only the 2 door had the gunners hatch, these are oxford white and unfinished black inside. '24 Job 2 took away the removable side windows for the HE's white mod top and a new variant of "painted" hardtop was available, Shadow Black for the upper trims and body-matched for the Raptor and only available on the 4 doors and does not have the removable side windows, these are white inside and have different sound deadening as well. Fast forward to '25 and we get our first mention of the shadow black and body color matched 2 door tops which one can assume has the gunners hatch since the bag is available. In the video for the Stroppe you can see the gunners hatch but there's no mention of it in the announcement.

So, as for technically being modular ... they all are, even the MIC since removable front panels and center panel for the 4 door. The 4 door HE continues with the "mod" top even though it's no more modular than the MIC since the removable side windows are no longer. The new painted and body matched tops for the two doors I guess would be the new "mod" top since at least they still offer the addition of the gunners hatch but also no removable side windows but once again the 4 door version will only have the removable front and center panels.

What were your plans for 4 door "mod" top because technically it's available as long as you select the right trim but it'll be either shadow black or body-color unless you get the Stroppe.

Wonder what shocks they'll put on the non-SAS Badlands. Hopefully not the same defective Bilsteins.

If you are considering the VW Atlas, then you were probably a better fit with the Bronco Sport anyway. lol
How so? The Bronco Sport is tiny compared to an Atlas which is a pretty large SUV.

I was just talking about the difference between something that looks like it is made for offroad, and something that looks like it is made to take the kids to soccer. That is all.

Sport is small. I wanted the Black Diamond and I have wanted a Bronco since the 90's. I'm not settling for a Bronco that's not what I want (WHITE HARD TOP).So the VW is very comfortable and smooth to my neck and back. Also it's huge on the inside. More than the Bronco so I'll go with the 2nd best option for me that also takes regular ⛽

I get all the complaining about the changes but the Bronco line was too bloated and it makes a lot of sense to simplify the line. Still some of these changes are curious like only offering two colors for the Outer Banks (Green and Grey).

I would expect that more than half the Broncos sold never do any serious off-roading so that really doesn't matter a lot.

I'm glad I got my HE when I did. The Stroppe in intriguing but 2-door, which it should be. would not work for me (hauling 2-4 hunting dogs depending on the day) and since hunting season has opened, I have accumulated a great collection of Idaho pinstriping on my flares.

I am curious why they listed the HE "after" the Raptor in the order guide. Was it on the chopping block and revived?

Sad to see Race Red gone from the HE though. I con not go anywhere whiteout someone complementing the white over red color. I have not seen the new red on a Bronco, but it sounds like a "boy racer" color for a Focus RS.
Race Red was the 'boy racer' color on the final year of the Focus RS, FYI! I am interested in seeing a deep metallic red with the rest of the HE scheme.

Overall, given all these changes, I am happy with my '23 HE. Nothing here that is too exciting, but that won't stop me from spending hours building every new configuration when it becomes available. Ford's options structuring has pretty much always left a lot to be desired, especially with the Bronco.

While a digital cluster swap sounds appealing, I'd be happier if Ford offered a more configurable update for our old clusters. I am not a fan of all digital clusters OR tearing apart my dash to get one... throw us a bone, Ford!

I dont think this was mentioned yet? I was digging around on Base model stuff.

Sasquatch™ Graphics Package (50U) is optional on Base, Big Bend™, Outer Banks™ and Badlands™ series only.
Odd that the 'Sasquatch Graphics Package' requires a 4 door on the Base model.
Guessing the package is more than a fender emblem, but hopefully not some huge fender decals a'la Raptor and Everglades.

2.7 on a 4 door badlands only. lol what a joke
They’re basically forcing people to get the stroppe edition if you want a 2.7 2 door 🙄
I would've loved to be a fly on the wall on that decision...
People love the 2.7L on the 2 door and we have dealer lots full of unsold Broncos...
Why don't we limit what people like and make other choices super expensive!
Brilliant! We are promoting you! Here are the keys to the executive bathroom...

The quote from Star Trek's "Mirror, Mirror" episode comes to mind:

KIRK: What I don't understand is how were you able to identify our counterparts so quickly?
SPOCK: It was far easier for you as civilised men to behave like barbarians, than it was for them as barbarians to behave like civilised men.

It is far easier for the full size Bronco to take the kids to soccer, than it is for the Bronco Sport to go overlanding and rock crawling.

yeah, frankly Hot Pepper Red on the OBX was a huge purchasing driver for my wife. Green is OK, and maybe with bronze highlights, but the OBX is now relegated to "you can choose a single color, or you can have a bunch of choices with absence of color".
