I am aware you could make them flatter by doing that, but it never really provided a flat load floor in the cargo compartment. Meaning they don't fold down into the floor, like they did in an Expedition.

There were some threads around here of guys making platforms and there are some pricy kits to delete the back seats and make a flat cargo floor.
Gotcha. I didn't assume you meant that, since it's basically impossible without a redesign.

ETA: The other thing is over the years it has been common for people not to know that. Same with the Focus. People have been know to own one for years without knowing.

Have owned my two door for two and a half years and I think the AC has been turned no more than once. The roof comes off for the entire summer, and the rear seats are folded down anyways. Air ducts be damned. Lol
Cool story.

Nice to see the Base again, but disappointed you still can't just order a rear locker for one. ☹

Want a rear locker on your Ranger? Check the box, 400 bucks.

Want a rear locker on your Base Bronco? Check Sasquatch package, like 12 grand*...

[My mistake. It’s only about 9 grand to add a rear locker (via Sasquatch) to a Base Bronco]

Finally got rid of the most useless trim from the very beginning, Wildtrak. Why they ever had it is beyond me, those options should have been on the Badlands from the start.
What's the most useful trim, a 4dr Black Diamond?

I googled the most popular Bronco trim, and guess what, it wasn't a Black Diamond either, Bub.

Some people...

Interesting.

Big Bend Sasquatch requires the Black Diamond package.

So to make the equivalent of a 2021 - 2024 Black Diamond Sasquatch you need a Big Bend with Black Diamond pkg, Marine Grade Vinyl Seats pkg and Sasquatch pkg.

Yeah Ford pretty much removed that option from job 2 without announcing it so people who took delivery of their job 2 HE were surprised their windows were not removable. You can read more about it in the thread I attached below. To be fair, it is a nice feature but I only removed them once

I originally ordered my Wildtrak with the MOD top - I still feel like I'd use it whenever I'd remove the front and middle panels (but keep the back on), as otherwise the rear top acts like a big parachute.

reading thru here - add me to the list of "my 2.3 brakes aren't mushy"
Coming from a VW GTI absolutely the brakes are very different, but there is also an extra 2,000 lbs so it never bothered me. I guess I'm not missing what I don't have lol

Same. I've never noticed any issue with mine. And I typically drive several different vehicles between ours and work vehicles weekly. So I feel like I would notice if there was something off with them.

Sad to see the WT go. Sport mode is awesome, plus Sand & Baja with front and rear lockers & SAS standard. I don't follow the details of all the trims closely, but WT is perfect for the dunes desert at speed. I just wish I had HOSS 3.0. The Bilsteins are the only pricey parts that need an upgrade on my '22 WT.

WT has no purpose in this 25 line up just like in 21 and early 22. A 2.7 Badlands SAS had everything a WT did in the early years, and now with optional HOSS 3.0 it has everything the WT did in the later years (and more with sway bar disco.) Sport mode is an easy add with FORSCAN so no real specialty there.
