2022 Bronco: The new reality

Think the biggest risk is to those who want a 4 door model. I'm getting a 2 door Badlands 2.7. Likely my getting a Sasquatch is where I'll run into a shortage.

I don't mind waiting, as I don't need to take delivery before June 2021 anyway, but I know some guys are chomping at getting your hands on one and I hope you'll be able to as quickly as possible. Waiting on an ordered car sucks.

I guess a way around that would be when it comes time to convert reservations to orders, Ford could make the switch at that time. In other words, reserve a 2021 Bronco and then order a 2022. Anyone who was not cool with that could get their $100 reservation back.

I have a feeling mine could end up being a 2022 MY, as I plan on getting Velocity Blue, which is a late availability color.

Build the "limited edition" FE's as MY21 and number 7001 to roll of the line becomes MY22. I mean, it is pretty obvious that that is the proper solution, right?

That makes a lot of sense to me too! Gives the FEs even more.significance and rarity as they are the only 2021s, and gives everyone who reserved another trim the good feels because they get a 2022 in summer/fall of 2021 before anyone else.

They should shut off the reservations, build all reserved Broncos as MY21 and anything beyond that, like dealer stock would be MY22...

The 7000 fe may be the only ones called a 2021

As long as it arrives around May-June, I don't really care what year they call it. If it goes much past that without a delivery date in sight, I'll likely cancel and buy something else. I like the Bronco, but don't really need one.
